Overall I'd rate it average. The chicken wasn't greasy, the fries I feel like I could make at home. The sauce was good. Taste wise, frozen fries, a plain bin bring it down. The chicken was a bit dry but not greasy and the flavour was mild but very nice. This is probably my third time being here, the staff are very friendly. The wait time was reasonable as well as the price. Parking: A few spots in front, and around back lots of parking.
What a find! Don't listen to any naysayers! Place has tasty thin coated crispy chicken. It was delicious. I had a breast pice and it was not dried out! We got their Wednesday special, 2 snack size which is NOT snack size, it's filling! For 14.49. Well worth it. Time we were here was about 11:20 am For sure a hidden Gem we will be back to! I would like to highly recommend Dixie Lee and their employee Korben for their exceptional service and delicious food. Dixie Lee is a fantastic restaurant that serves some of the best fried chicken and sides I have ever tasted, and Korben is an outstanding employee who goes above and beyond to ensure every customer is satisfied. Firstly, the food at Dixie Lee is simply amazing. The fried chicken is crispy, juicy, and full of flavor, and the sides are the perfect complement. The chicken macaroni is excellent, complimented by the coleslaw which is fresh and tangy. Additionally, the portions are very generous, and the prices are very reasonable, making Dixie Lee an excellent value for money. However, what really sets Dixie Lee apart from other restaurants is their outstanding service, thanks in large part to Korben. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and a friendly welcome. Korben was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped me choose the perfect meal. He was also very attentive throughout my entire meal, checking in frequently to ensure everything was to my liking and offering additional drinks or sides as needed. Overall, I can't recommend Dixie Lee and Korben highly enough. If you're looking for delicious fried chicken and exceptional service, this is the place to go. Five stars all around!
The food would have been good if it wasn't so salty. The gravy and the chicken had an excessive amount of salt. The macaroni salad was amazing
Went in for a lunch stop and Dixie Lee didn't disappoint. Delicious crispy chicken leaves KFC in the dust. Very nice staff too.
I haven't had Dixie Lee in nearly 18 years since they left my hometown. It was everything I'd remembered. Love their chicken & the chicken macaroni salad!

Delicious fried chicken and a very good seafood snack pack. This was our first Dixie experience and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very welcoming and friendly.
Loved this place, was surprised and overjoyed to find the only Dixie Lee in NS, definitely missed this place, I'm 140 plus km from here, and will drive it once a week. That's how good it is.
