Divergent Health Care

I reached out to Divergent Health Care when I had lost all hope of living without pain. My left shoulder had been in constant pain for the past few years and the only ‘relief’ I was ever able to get was being referred for a cortisone shot but even I knew that only masked the pain, and once I started feeling it again it would be worse, which was just a vicious circle I was tired of. I googled pain management experts in Calgary and came across Divergent Health Care which gave me a reason to hope. I booked in for a consult, and was able to get an appointment right away. Dr. Nanda was friendly, welcoming and helpful, he was able to identify where my pain was, pinpoint where it was originating from and then outlined a plan for how he suggested we would treat it. I had 20 appointments/treatments over the course of 7 weeks. Every person I worked with at Divergent Health Care was friendly, and welcoming. They took the time at every appointment to see where the pain was and if it was moving or getting better, etc so they could gear their treatment that day to where the pain was, making it more effective for me and geared towards me specifically. I never felt like just a patient to them, but more like a friend, someone they cared about and wanted to truly help get better. I 10/10 recommend Divergent Health Care. The treatment works and the doctors are amazing - the true meaning of health CARE!

I tried Divergent after visiting several physio clinics over the last few years to resolve my elbow pain. I was happy with Dr. Nanda's diagnosis and tried the treatment plan with shockwave, acupuncture, and other types. I followed their instructions on things I can do to help the healing process and after my sessions were over, there is a noticeable difference. The results are worth every penny. I wish I found this clinic before spending thousands everywhere else. I'm going to continue my path to recovery with Divergent. I told myself that if this worked then I would sign up to treat my knees and shoulders...I did and it's going great. The staff is courteous, accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable. They walk me through what they're doing every single time and explain things to me if I don't understand. That gives me confidence. I definitely recommend and I will come back to treat future injuries and joint issues.

I was suffering from severe plantar fasciitis when I saw an ad in the paper for Divergent Health. I was very frustrated and worried that I would soon not be able to walk. In desperation, I gave them a call, got in quickly and started a 10 week treatment shortly after. I am now going for walks, wearing shoes I haven't worn in years and have very little pain. I was provided with a home physio program that has been really beneficial. The staff at Divergent are friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and considerate. So grateful for your help! Highly recommend this clinic.

Best pain management clinic in Calgary! So happy with my treatment and the staff was one of a kind! I had tried prior treatments before and it never worked out for me until I came across divergent! I have been in dire need of a great chiropractor. I decided to start my search and came across Divergent Health Care. What drew me was not only the wonderful reviews, but also the vast services offered in one location. Let me start off by just saying how amazing the staff is here! They warmly greeted me and felt like I was in the comfort of my own home. Their team is very pleasant and made sure that my needs were addressed. They truly went above and beyond. Very personable. The office and clinic itself is very clean and organized. Dr. Nanda and his team certainly have compassion for people as it is reflected in the work he and the team does. He was respectful, patient and gentle as well as genuinely interested in my areas of concern. The system and technology that the team uses is also impressive. He developed a layered plan for my shoulder and knee pain that I have never seen. Multiple different team members assess and create something that is both manageable and effective. It's a program that was well defined and scheduled in up front. I'm now just sustaining and going in for routine maintenance. Really pleased with my results!

I wanted to leave 1 star because I left extremely annoyed after this appointment, but later decided on 3 because service was friendly, and I didn't actually try their treatment and will decline to do so. My review is based on them wasting my time, misleading me when booking, and confronting me with non stop sales tactics. I told them I wanted to start shockwave therapy and avoid the self assessment because I've already seen a doctor and physiotherapist, and it's no question plantar fasciitis. I wanted to start slow and see how I reacted to it. The lady said no question, it's a 90% success rate, it will take 5 minutes, and we can start treatment right away. So I booked and canceled my afternoon plans. On arrival, the place felt more like a store selling beauty products, skin care treatments, vitamins, footwear, etc. I knew I was going to be sold something right away. The chiropractor was dressed very very casual, like he just came from the gym or club he was very friendly though btw. After 5 minutes of history questions, and 5 minutes of him leaving to attend a personal matter, he then finally broke the news their treatment is ONLY program based....a 10 treatment process, with lots of painful techniques included, with a 95% success rate...all for the low price of $1500....oh, and I could add $200 at a discount favour for orthotics....and this all needed to be paid up front. Are you serious! No way was I prepared for that, and no way would I blindly agree to this. He then continued to describe tricks I could do to best use my insurance. I couldn't believe I wasted my entire afternoon, thinking I was coming in for a 5 minute treatment, only to be told I had only ONE option...a $1500 program!! I hated that this was not explained anywhere on the initial appointment description, or on their website, they just needed to get me in the door to make the sales pitch. Hey, it "may" work, but no way am I blindly just paying a whopping $1500, I wish this cost and program system was explained somewhere before I wasted my time.

Great clinic and experience! Ive had many injuries in my athletic career; and I must say, Divergent Health Care has consistently provided me with finest braces, splints and orthotics to help me deal with my aches and pains. As well, the chiropractic services offered by Dr.Nanda have been very thorough and helpful in treating my back pain. I highly recommend Divergent Health Care as an essential resource in pain management.

Following a track & field injury in 1987, I suffered with chronic Achilles tendonosis for more than 30 years. In that time, I have tried a myriad of treatments, including ultrasound, massage, eccentric calf strengthening, active release, acupuncture, dry needling, and finally, a stem cell injection. I got some short-term relief here and there, but nothing worked in the long term. Finally, someone told me about shockwave therapy available at Divergent Health, and I decided to try it before going for a follow-up stem cell injection. I have had nine treatments of a 10-treatment protocol, and I can honestly say that my Achilles has never felt better since my original injury. Whether or not my healed tendon will stand up to the rigorous sprint training I want to do remains to be seen, but I am extremely optimistic. Not only am I happy with my results so far, I cannot shower enough praise on the care and attention the staff at Divergent give to their patients. These people are genuinely concerned about their patients, and go above and beyond to ensure they receive the best treatment and best outcomes possible. Both Dr. Jason Nanda and his associate, Paul, did everything they could to make my experience a positive one, and to make sure that I got the maximum benefits possible from my treatments. This amazing human touch and authentic accountability is something I have rarely seen in the Canadian health care system. Double thumbs up!!

When I was initially referred to Divergent Health Care I had absolutely zero expectations for recovery. Chronic pain radiates throughout my entire body from neck to toe, and for so many years my doctor's had focused purely upon "bandaiding" my symptoms. The kind and empathetic doctors at this clinic spent time getting to know my body/pain, and devised a plan that included what was best for my body and my finances. After five appointments I can confidently say that the areas that have been treated are either pain free, or well on their way to being so! I'm honestly blown away! I was so hopeless when I came here, I didn't believe anyone could help me. These people have changed my life in a way I didn't think possible. This clinic is located in a beautiful and professional office, with caring and efficient staff. I would recommend Divergent Health Care a million times over to anyone struggling with chronic pain.

Brand new man!!!! Straighter, probably taller and definitely feel better every day since I started treatment. I have had chronic neck and lower back pain from working construction, for many years. I have had the spinal decompression done on both my neck and back and could not be happier, the pain is completely gone. The shockwave is a must try if you have any sort of muscle pain. The doctors and staff are amazing and very accommodating. I strongly recommend Divergent health to anyone.
