Awful experience here, they don't take card here they only take cash. The speakers sounded like they were blown so I couldn't even understand what most the songs were singing. Drinks were insanely expensive compared to other place I go in stoon. Because it's all cash then its basically known that u have cash in your purse making you a target. Had multiple people grab my purse while on dance floor
If your into live remixed fresh EDM, a good dance vibe and minimal attitude combined with absolutely some of the most beautiful girls in the city just out having a good time....then Divas is definitely a safe bet. Cheers enjoy!
If you are one of the few people that read a review of a night club before you go to it please read this review. As someone who has been coming to Diva's for over 10 years this club is by far one of the best in Western Canada and I would even go to say one of my favourite clubs in all of Canada and I have partied from coast to coast from Victoria to Halifax and everywhere in between as I travelled for work and would party in the cities also. I don't even live in Saskatoon, I live in Edmonton and we road trip the 5 hours as often as we can to come to Saskatoon and have a fun weekend partying at Diva's. I would say once every 2-3 months. The last few years it has been under new management and the owner has put his heart and soul into this club. Every few months we go, there is something new the owner has done, new lights, new renovation, additional bathrooms, unreal VIP section. His lighting system and sound system is the best of the best - I would even go as far to say comparable to Shambhala Music Festival for sound quality and lighting system. If you don't know what Shambhala is I recommend googling it and going to it out if you can, it is a world class music festival in BC. The club has limited capacity so go early if you want to get in, if there is a long line up then just go earlier next time, no reason to write anything negative about a line up getting in when you showed up late to the party. The entrance is in a back alley because long ago it was not very safe for gay people in Saskatoon so they had to make a smaller entrance in the back for their safety so they would be more comfortable coming and going without the worry of who will be outside. This is a gay club, with a gay owner and some gay staff. However it is also a business to make money and it is welcoming of everyone who wants to come to have fun, spend money and enjoy the music. The bouncers are beyond friendly and hard working, if you respect them they will respect you. It is a tough job being a bouncer and I have noticed the party scene in Saskatoon is more "rough around the edges" than Edmonton so this does add additional precautions and added security. Just don't get black out drunk, be overly obnoxious and you will be fine, feel safe and have a really fun time. The bartenders are hard working and are dealing with drunk people the entire night so cut a little slack as they love their job, want you to have a great experience there, but it is not the easiest job dealing with intoxicated individuals. So complaining about bartenders you should probably give yourself a hard look in the mirror and maybe you will see the actual problem. Me and my friend group and beyond grateful for this club and all the good times we have had in this club. We look forward to every trip and always bring new people from Edmonton to show them how cool the small city of Saskatoon is and how awesome Diva''s is. If I lived in Saskatoon I would love to be a part of the team as for me this would be a place I would love to even work, but living far away in Edmonton I get the 2nd best thing which is VIP treatment for me and my friends each time we come down. In conclusion if you have read this far, kudos!!! I appreciate you taking the time to do so and hope this gave you a little more insight into what kind of place Diva's is. =D
I had the best time at Diva’s with all my friends for my partner’s birthday. Production/sound is amazing, there was a lady painting on people with black light paint, and the music was perfect. Would highly recommend
This place is magical I love the music and overall vibe at divas is deadly. I could dance until the sun comes up. Staff are wonderful, and if they’re rude to you, well you probably deserved it. Treat them with respect and you’ll receive respect. Shout out to the owner for always playing the best music
Divas well known to be racially discriminatory towards persons of color. I suggest staying away for your safety and can find better entertainment else where. As you can see from the replies from them as well
after reading diva's replies when being called out for discrimination and abuse both in the google reviews and on individual's social media posts i will no longer be supporting this business. responding to someone sharing their experience of discrimination with something along the lines of "you get what you give" shows zero awareness for what accountability and inclusiveness mean. as a queer person seeing a gay bar being managed so poorly is such a bummer.
I am shocked at the way Divas Nightclub is handling their business. After doing my research and reading their reviews, there are multiple allegations of racism towards indigenous people. When these reviews or posts come up, the night club responds with gifs, jokes, and snarky comments. Do better.
Divas used to be my favourite place to dance with my girlfriend. Comfortable, fun and safe. It is no longer a gay bar sadly. It’s just like any other dance club in the city. Heart broken to lose another safe space.
Horribly racist establishment that sits back while it's patrons are assaulted and stolen from right in front of them. This place is dangerous and I highly suggest not going here. They need to be closed down and held accountable for their disgusting actions. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Appalling.
