Fun but small place. Many different area can let kids play: camping, building house, sliding, archaeological open kitchen, and shopping. They also have many activities and small animals can see. Ticket is $8/person.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$6–10
Getting to the museum was a little tricky, but worth it. The museum was small, but subject-wise it was well rounded. We got there late, about 40 minutes before closing and though our kids did bot get to play as much as they would have wanted, they enjoyed the time we spent there. If this is a publicly sponsored spot, I hope they get more support. It's a pity some of the mechanisms in the air / rocket area were not working. It detracted from the learning experience. But I must say that the areas we visited were very well taken care of. We visited from out of state and our children had a very nice time! I'd definitely recommend visiting. :
Keeps our toddler busy and gets us out of the house. It's small enough to be cozy without fear of losing your little ones. Some of the exhibits are lacking play items they used to have. Not sure if due to covid precautions Story time and activities experiments/crafting are great for socializing little ones who are not in school or daycare and gives them opportunity to interact and get creative.
I visited with my 3-year-old child recently. I would describe it as a multi-faceted discovery center. They have several zones so children can explore different areas. We stayed for about 90 minutes, which was enough for us. It was a nice local option and fairly affordable. It is cheaper for grandparents than other adults to enter. My parents and in-laws like to take little excursions with my kids. This is a good place for them to visit and let the kids burn some energy.
Came here for a birthday. Read reviews beforehand and most negative complained about the small size. Was shocked by how big it actually was. Lots for the kids to do. Highly recommended.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$16–20
We were on a family vacation to Maine and needed an activity to break up the 5 hour drive and let the kids burn off some energy. This was the perfect stop! It wasn't quite what we expected as it had a lot more "play" qualities than "museum" qualities but that was great. With the exception of the animals everything was interactive and play at your own pace. The big exhibit/activity was a space shuttle and space tower with nerf ball blasters. There were probably 7 or 8 areas in all, each with themed play - a construction area, music area, news studio, supermarket, and so on. The facility was very clean and well maintained. There was a small animal corner with guine pig, hamster, snake, turtle and bearded dragon that were fun to watch. I wouldn't make this a destination to drive a couple hours for but if you have kids and are in the area its definitely worth a stop.
We had a birthday party here and it was great!! Staff was helpful and the kids had a great time!
I'll never come back spent 35 dollars for my kids to play with "toys and displays" that didn't work
Such a beautiful resource for Westfield. Donated by one of the nicest affluent families. Constantly changing exhibits, affordable, worth it!
Great place for the younger kids to play, explore and learn. Clean, well run and spacious
