I don't know how long this place has been open , but I only recently found out! I've gotten take out there twice recently, and both times I was pleased and devoured everything.nI feel like the chicken in the butter chicken was a little bit overcookedonly the second time and the sauce could be thicker/creamier but I will say that they have the best naan bread I've ever had! The service is excellente and I'd love to go have a sit down meal. I like the location, parking and they are liscenced too.
This place is soooo good!! Got food from here 3 times in a month, two in-person and one take-out. I’m from Las Vegas, and no Indian restaurant I’ve ate at over there has ever compared to this one in Bathurst.nnYou guys definitely put a lot of love into the quality of your food. The naan bread is fluffy and thick, which I’m now addicted to. I tried the brownie samosa poutine, and it’s an amazing contrast from the gooey chocolate to the hard-shelled samosa. I think the flavor of the food is something hard to forget, and their portions are always filling regardless if it’s takeout or not.nnI recommend going in-person instead of doing take-out. The presentation of their food is something to appreciate and the quality will always be 1000x better at the restaurant than through a box.
I'm from out of town and was browsing doordash looking to eat something i don't have back home and came upon this place. Ordered the pakora, veggie samosa and the chocolate samosas. Everything was absolutely delicious! The chocolate samosas though absolutely blew me away! Will definitely order again if I'm back in the area!
Visited this establishment as I heard that they had a food truck in the area a couple of years ago. I figured that if they graduated to a restaurant, either the food was spectacular or they were doing very well!nnThe location of this resto is in what many refer to as the blue building government building in Bathurst centre ville.nnIt is on the bottom floor of a pristine government building.nThe restaurant is small maybe 10-14 tables, and you order and pay right away, and then they make your food. Didn't really care for that as I would have preferred to have had my food first and then pay and tip accordingly.nnTables were clean, as was all the china, and while you wait, you are greeted with Bollywood classics and some movie videos.nnWas having vegan food, and so things like paneer didn't exactly work. In the end, I decided to get a mix of onion and vegetable pakora + rajma masal combo kidney bean curry + gobhi aloo combo potato and cauliflower curry. Simply put, the food was very good.nnA few things here...n1 The pakoras had a lot of dough to them, and the onion was tasty.n2 The pakoras were accompanied by what should have been a tamarind chutney sauce - what we got was a LOT sweeter - almost like maple syrup, which was different.n3 When they say combo, it is the main dish, basmati rice, and naan, which ends up being extremely filling! It would be nice to have less starches and more variety for the price you pay.n4 We asked for the dishes to be spicy, and they were able to adjust accordingly - this was welcomed.n5 Not much in the way of desserts at the time of our visit - there was only a chocolate samosa.n6 One this I thought was strange was the the rice and curry dishes came in plastic bowls like containers you'd get from the grocery store for 250ml of sour cream only clear but were served on big beautiful plates.n7 The bathrooms are part of the government building, so you have to exit the restaurant and come back in - a little annoying but not the end of the world!nnThe owner and his wife and staff were lovely people - hard working and trying to introduce a new cusine that is not at all common to the region! I really commend them for their conviction and wish them the very best.
Was driving through Bathurst and needed some comfort food. The food here absolutely exceeded my expectations and is some of the best Indian food I've had in NB. I got the Goan vindaloo and I was pleasantly surprised with how spicy and authentic it was. I don't reckon I'll be in Bathurst again any time soon, but I wouldn't want to eat anywhere else.
