Food was pretty good. I thought the brisket was a bit dry slices broke instead of bending as they should and the Mac and cheese was just ok. Customer service was excellent from everyone we interacted with, very nice people. Restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere.Food: 3/5
I'm familiar with the Dickie's franchise in the US. One of my favorites for sure. The experience here in Barrhaven was quite a bit different than the US locations. Some of the reviews have been brutal. My wife and I ordered 2 meat plates. We tried the brisket, burnt ends, turkey and chicken breast. Our sides were fries, onion tanglers and mac & cheese. Overall the food was good, not great. I feel like the floors have been tweaked for the Canadian palette in some way. The food definitely tastes different than the US. Also, I expected free soft serve ice cream and a BBQ sauce bar like the US and that wasn't the case. The staff does need to develop. Give them some time. The washrooms should be cleaner and the dining area maintained better. Dirty tables. In summary, good not great food, small portions and high prices. I'm confident the service and cleanliness will improve with time.
Ordered the picnic package with beef brisket on April 3, 2023 for dinner for my family. Was excited to try something new. Unfortunately, we were all disappointed with the food. The picnic dinner comes with four buns, 1 lb of meat, and two medium sides. I ordered the corn and coleslaw. Where do I begin, there were quite a few issues. 1. I though the buns were to make sandwiches with the meat, but they were tiny dinner rolls. One of the four was wet and soggy, and the other three were borderline stale. 2. The corn was tasteless and the coleslaw was disgusting. It looked like green soup. The containers were also only 3/4 filled and one of the lids was damaged so the corn leaked in the bag. 3. The beef brisket was okay, but some of it was dry and none of us liked the flavour. 4. I added a side of fries and onion rings. Both are like shoestrings and extremely greasy. Ultimately, most of the food ended up in the green bin. We won’t be going back to this restaurant.
With friends, we've decided to try this new restaurant as we're all meat lovers. Food was good and tasty. The burnt ends were slightly dry but taste amazing. We've also tried the brisket and loved it. Compared to other barbecue restaurants, the price was reasonable and we will certainly be back again.
I visited this place with family, we ordered beef brisket, chicken brisket and chicken wings. We liked the food, and price was reasonable as compared to others. I think we should support our local community business. I would recommend owner to improve customer service, I hope your service will be better when we come next time. I would give this location 5 stars and recommend to others. Parking: Parking available on both sides of store
We visited Dickeys BBQ Pit Barrhaven. Really enjoyed the whole experience, food was very tasty, charcoal infused bbq flavour was amazing. Staff was super friendly. Must try , we’ll visit again soon.
This was my first time here and I really enjoyed it! I got the XL Pack and all 3 options of meat were amazing. We got the mac n cheese and it was so simple but very good. Same with the fries and potato salad. The meat was juicy and cooked very well. I’ve been to so many BBQ restaurants and for fast food I really enjoyed it. The staff were so friendly and so were the owners. Overall it was really good and I will definitely be coming back!
Overall, very nice experience...went there today just after the opening time, so was not crowded. We got our food within few minutes...we tried the rib and brisket. Both tasted yummy and juicy. the rib was big and enough meat for 2 of us, with 2 sides and loaded potato, which btw was good too. we also talked to the lady in charge, she was so nice. It's been only few weeks they opened the restaurant...I am sure going back there soon....
I have tried Halal Briskets in Texas and Toronto, this is the closest to Texas bbq and the brisket was juicy and tender. I ordered 1 lb. Good service and good food.
Had a brisket sandwich and it was really good! The spicy BBQ sauce is fantastic as well. Looking forward to trying out more things on the menu. Great to see a dedicated BBQ place in Barrhaven as well, they made a really good first impression.
