Oh my god ! This place is a gem ! You would be able to see the most spectacular sceneries here. Especially in spring and fall. It’s like colour explosion! And it’s free! So don’t miss it
A harbar seaside park with a dog park . A marsh pond and plenty of grass for picnics etc , its next to a bus stop and seawall , Stanley Park and its that time of year for sakura cherry blossoms trees here
Amazing walk with great marina views and interesting urban art. Great wide pedestrian roads with green grass on both sides.
Highly acclaimed park, being placed between Stanley park & West Georgia Street beside the harbour, it's a blend of modernisation & nature - trees, water & watercrafts, providing an atmosphere of harmony.
This park right next to Stanley park is a very peaceful park right on the waterfront. My friends and I spent some time discussing our evening plans on one of the many benches. There was also a water fountain and some nice art installations.
This elegant park offers many peaceful seating areas and serves as a gateway between Stanley Park and Coal Harbour. Devonian Harbour Park offers something for everyone, whether throwing a ball on the rolling lawns, enjoying the magical views of the harbour and pond, or contemplating the interesting sculptures. The entrance to Stanley Park was for years the subject of much controversy with plans of development then finally in 1984 after the dedicated work of the Save Our Parkland Association in conjunction with the Park Board and along with a generous donation of over $600,000 from the Devonian Foundation in Alberta, the property was saved. This park was once the location of the Denman Arena which was the home of the Vancouver Millionaires who won the Stanley cup here in 1915. They beat the Ottawa Senators. The arena was destroyed by fire in 1936. In 1927, the 2,500 seat Denman Auditorium was built next to the Arena. The Auditorium, which was multi-purpose, survived the fire of 1936 and was renovated in 1952. It re-opened on September 10, 1952 as the Georgia Auditorium concert hall. It only lasted seven years before it was demolished in 1959, after the construction of the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.
Its crowdy any day any time, and ppl should/must put leash on their dogs.
Love this park, very lively, with great Mountian and harbour views with some great public art.
Beautiful waterfront location, dog-friendly
After doing a boat tour of the Vancouver Harbour by the paddle boat of Harbour Cruises we decided to relax for a while. We found this nice little park with benches just outside the entrance gate of the Harbour Cruises dock. There were some trees and a lawn and we sat down on a bench in the shade and ate our picnic lunch which we had brought with us. Being very close to Stanley Park and the Seawall walk, which is an extension from the Coal Harbour seawalk trail, we saw a lot of people hiking or biking along to Stanley Park and back. There were good views of the Coal Harbour section with the ships sailing in and out. We enjoyed our brief moments of relaxation and refreshments sitting in Devonian Park.
