Story

Devils Lake State Parks is the name sometimes applied to the units of the North Dakota state parks system located on Devils Lake, south of the city of Devils Lake in Ramsey County. As of 2012, only the larger remaining unit, Grahams Island State Park, was in operation. The smaller Black Tiger Bay Recreation Area was closed due to inaccessibility. At one time there were four units on Devils Lake but rising water caused Narrows State Recreation Area to be closed in 1995 and Shelvers Grove's closure in 2004.Grahams Island State ParkThe park occupies the eastern end of Grahams Island and provides opportunities for fishing, boating, and picnicking. Overnight accommodations include 144 campsites, both modern and primitive, and four cabins.Black Tiger Bay Recreation AreaThe recreation area has been closed due to the rising waters of Devils Lake, which have inundated local roads. When open, it offered a boat ramp with a large parking area.

Excellent park for 44ft class A pusher with tow. Full hookup, spacious sites with no overhead trees. We didn't have to unhook our tow. I had my teen grandsons use public showers - they didn't run out of hot water. If you have smaller children their play area is well equipped. Price was the best we have seen. If you are a fisherman, boater, or traveling through this is the place for you.

One of the cleanest state parks I have ever been to. Awesome location, well looked after campsites, and easy boat access to Devils Lake. Super busy but surprisingly quiet. Everyone there was kind and respectful. Great environment for the little ones!

Wonderful pull through sites nestled in wooded area Quiet. Only there overnight (in rain) and had we not been in a cross country trip to a family wedding, we would have stayed longer

The campground was very clean and quiet for the short time that we were there. I can't wait to go back and spend more time. The staff that we met were polite.

Well maintained, lovely park. Western loop has the most trees to block the wind and keeps individual campsite more private.
