I think this museum is perfect in size, layout, and location. Big enough to house a small number of installations with an intimate feel. Its not too exhaustive so you can enjoy all art even if you visit to see one artist.
entry by donation, so please donate what you can. MOCAD was a great sunday funday stop in the D. they had 5 different exhibits by some amazing artists. Staff is super friendly. If you have time, stay for a drink on their cafe espresso bar or full cockatil barVisited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree

Small, but unique. I had always wanted to stop in. They take donations. I was only there for about 30 minutes. Worth it to check out.
Large uninviting space. Nothing personal about the experience. What I find remarkable is that in a city with 84% people of color, I did not see one brown face among the staff or vendors. They have to do better than that. Neat, clean and seems to be well run.
Well I went here with no knowledge really what to expect so I don’t know if I had my expectations hi or if it just wasn’t my idea of what I think artist. It’s very contemporary there is five exhibit so look at all to be seen within about two minutes. Need to check out but I don’t think I’ll be back. It’s not my forte.Visited onWeekend

Great museum. Its free and there's even a coffee shop, so you can enjoy a cup after seeing some authentic modern art. It a very wide open setting with no walls and plenty of room to enjoy yourself. There wasn't a lot of people when I went, but you could tell that many have been here. It isn't huge, but there is a nice variety.
Stopped here and I loved it! They had the Christmas exhibit outside , I enjoyed the museum and It’s a nice lowkey spot with cool and interesting art
