We recently dined at Detola's Kitchen and we cant stop raving about our experience! The place is simply stunning - from the elegantly decorated interior Lagos vibes to the nice music playing in the background invoked a feeling of calmness and relaxation. The service provided by the staff was impeccable. From the warm greeting upon arrival to constant check-ins during our meals to ensure we had everything we needed, the staff went above and beyond to make sure our experience was nothing but the best. Now let's talk about the food - it was absolutely amazing! The warm puff puff was a delicious appetizer that melted in our mouths. I highly recommend trying the Abula and beef stew, which was bursting with flavor and had just the right amount of spice to leave a satisfying, yet subtle heat. The pounded yam and okro soup was equally as delicious, with the perfect amount of texture and flavor. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a beautiful ambiance, exceptional service, and incredible food. It's definitely a must-visit spot!
Looking for great Nigerian meals in Ottawa...Detola's kitchen is your plug...Food was so good! Great customer service too and she was very accommodating with my order. #Omorated#
Amazing!! I’ve had a couple of meals since they opened and everything has been a hit. My favourite item however is the meat pie. It’s perfection! The restaurant is stunning and the service is A1. You’re notified when your food is prepared and it’s hot and ready for when you pick up.
The food was delicious, warm and properly done. We had egusi with Pounded-yam. Whiting fish and assorted meat. Yummy! The ambience was cool, lovely murals on the walls, very clean and well-lit hall. Service was friendly and warm. Prices were reasonable.Food: 5/5

Amazing food, I'll keep ordering from here forever : so many dishes and fantastic quality
Before buying anything from a place I am unfamiliar with, I always go through reviews to help guide my decision. Ordered a few light items as I always do with new places, loved the scotch eggs, disappointed with the other two items. With sauces like ayamashe, I prefer the meat to have been cooked with it and not grilled meat added when portioning. Also, I find it much better when the meat is in smaller pieces for sauces like ayamashe and bukka stew, rather than 3/4 big pieces of grilled meat thrown in when portioning. Smaller cuts cooked in the sauce means every scoop taken, there is an assortment of meat with the flavour of the sauce in it. The gizdodo was more like yam porridge and was actually confused initially, thinking I had been given wrong order. Loved that you could order up to 3pm deadline and get your order delivered on same day.
I ordered a Nigerian food beans cake popularly known as moin moin. Well packaged and very tasty It's good for quick snack or meal with some veggies, chicken or beef. Also goes well with rice. I highly recommend and I will definitely order more
