My husband and I got married in October 2025 and we wanted to share our experience with Delta Hotel South and Top of the Inn as our wedding reception venue.nnWhen we were looking for venues, we originally wanted a rustic and earthy theme but after viewing Delta Hotel South, we were convinced to completely change the theme since the Top Of the Inn venue was such a beautiful space that we could clearly see our reception being held there. The highlight of this venue was the starry lit ceiling as well as the delicious food. Our guests raved about the buffet immediately after and continue to tell us how good it was even now! We gave 4/5 stars since the communication prior to our wedding felt sometimes delayed on Delta’s end. When we had questions for clarification, we found we had to send follow up emails occasionally since it would be a few days before receiving a response. The 3 days and day prior though, Delta was super responsive and accommodating to any changes we had to make.nnOur stay in the bilevel suite was great as well! Though you could tell it was a bit of dated building and room, we still found it met our requirements for comfort.
Been here many times, come at least two weeks a year for business travel, always a pleasure. My team really enjoy this hotel not just due to the proximity to our office, but the view and lower noise from the train and traffic below. Staff are very friendly and having the in building restaurant is a plus when we first settle in from traveling. Free water is also a great perk, and the ability to sign into streaming services to watch on the TV usually I have to bring a Fire stick. Highly recommend for business travel!
I had the pleasure of being served by Amila at Delta Hotels Edmonton South, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. His bartending skills are outstanding, with a great knowledge of drinks and an impressive ability to craft cocktails perfectly to suit guests' preferences.nnWhat truly sets Amila apart is his exceptional customer service. He is professional, friendly, attentive, and genuinely cares about ensuring every guest has a memorable experience. His warm personality and attention to detail create a welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to return.nnAmila is a true asset to Delta Hotels Edmonton South. I highly recommend stopping by the bar and experiencing his outstanding service firsthand.
Shower - mildew on ceiling. Plentiful and greenish yellow. Ultra gross.nTowels- teinted brown not white- every one, not just one. Exasperating, very motel'esque.nTub - once water was running from shower, residue buildup became very apparent as water circumferenced the residuenGlasses - didnt test, trust was disintegrated at this pointnPillows - hairsnSheets- long hairs, requested new sheets and pillow cases, only Sheets came. Manager polite, professional, changed Sheets for me, cleaning off duty 11 pm.nInterior shower curtain - wrinkled from several guests is my guess.nWater temp - controlled, does. Ot get hot.nShower head - reasonable size, various modules for pressure, pressure decentnAlert - Shower has vent within the shower, in our room. Very odd, disturbs comfort, teen was scared, requested us to find something to cover showernShower ceiling - water collapsing.nBathroom sink - clean with very low pressure, multi stream faucetnBath door, lock it so kids, partner do not open it. Your knee will be assaulted. Tight space.nOverall room - tight. Coffee platter is in closet with ironing board.nLighting - dim, typical of any hotel.nWindows - room width, curtains pull back full length for added brightnessnLocation - goodnnOverall , would never attend again.nLobby - great, decieving.nAurora - good food, good price point, great servicenHallways - nicenEvelators - propernPet friendly
Although the service was good, I think the cost is too high for what they actually provide. I believe the lighting blackout curtains should be floor-length and provide better control of the nighttime sunlight, and the noise from the main avenue caused by traffic and the train, are all inconvenient.
