It was our first time going, I was a little sceptical of the good reviews this place had but service is extraordinary. I made a reservation ahead of time and we were quickly seated. The food was good! Dim sum was better than most places. We ordered the Peking duck 2 course, poached chicken which tastes very similar to haianese chicken, soup dumplings, chicken feet, sticky rice, sesame ball and fried dough with chicken and mushrooms the pear looking image. All were delicious! Some of our favorites: pear pastry, chicken feet different from other places, sticky rice and poached chicken — they’re known for this in China. Will definitely be coming back. Very surprised to find quality Chinese food in this area.
So excited for a dim sum restaurant in this area! The food was all fresh, hot and delicious. The owners are so kind and attentive. I happened to get a preview of some other menu items someone was doing a photo shoot and I can’t wait to come back for dinner!
It is a good place to have some Cantonese style food. Price is reasonable because the large portion of dish. Recommend to have a try if you live nearby this restaurant.Recommended dishesMango Pudding
My dad brought me to this place as he had heard great things. We were very excited to try it and it did NOT disappoint. Food was amazing. Must try the duck and bbq pork. Will be a staple restaurant for me!
In short, this place is very disappointing. I was really excited to try this place because of a Toronto Life Magazine article which makes a big deal about its “award winning chef”. It’s location is odd as it’s not in your traditional Asian cuisine locale but I thought this was going to be a hidden gem. The exterior and interior didn’t bother me either. I actually quite liked it as it’s simple and reminded me of dim sum restaurants I’d go to when I was little. The major disappointment is the food. I ordered the usual popular dishes plus some others. The chicken feet arrived first and it was ok. Nothing special. Each dish after was the same. Ok but nothing to rave about. The steam curry cuttle fish arrived undercooked. They simply took it back to steam some more. The BBQ pork was wrong. They either used the wrong piece of pork or just didn’t cook it right. I actually wanted to order the Peking duck to take away since the article mentioned it’s famous for it. I saw one arrive at a neighbouring table and decided to not bother. It looked burnt. I think if you live nearby then it gives you another option in the area but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here. The price is very reasonable though. It would have cost me more than $100 at the usual places I go to for dim sum.
Truly said, I didn’t see anything special about that place. The glasses were dirty and the food was regular. First they served us meat and after we finished it, they brought a plate of rice. That would be much better if they served both dishes together and would make sense. The atmosphere in the restaurant was gloomy and sad, and the music was as if I was in the bus. The owner was nice though.
Must go to restaurant if you crave for decent fusion Cantonese food! Taste fresh and authentic. My personal favourite is the ‘Lotus Chicken’ that I pre-order before visiting, hands down the best in town! Favourite restaurant to go dinner whenever I finish shopping at Yorkdale.
This place was a random selection but it was worth it. The food was delicious with a very good quantity for the price. They also gave us a complimentary desert which was admirable and overall the hospitality here was great. Would highly recommend it.
I really like their Qingxin Chicken their signature dish, and the XO sauce beans. Customer service was great. I would go back again. Parking is a bit difficult tho Parking: There are three parking spots in front of the restaurant. Hard to back out to leave after. I parked on the side street. Free after 6pm. Before 6pm, one hour free.
We just had a lovely dinner here. Food was excellent and service was friendly and attentive. We are vegetarian and there were lots of options for us. The dining room is comfortable and nice. Parking in front is easy and they have a party room to accommodate larger groups. We have ordered take out from here and it was excellent as well. I highly recommend this place! Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options that have a leaf symbol on the menu for easier selection. Dietary restrictions: The waiter mentioned that they could customize any dish.
