I love this bakery. I met up with a friend yesterday & visited for the first time. Even though I'm a local shame on me. They have a nice lounge area with comfy seats, & regular chairs too of course. They have a wide selection of pastries & cakes. They also serve coffee too, which was pretty good. I know I will definitely be back. The prices aren't bad either, they are cheaper than what I thought they'd be. The staff are great. Definitely recommend stopping by.
I look for an excellent coffee shop or dessert shop wherever I go. If you're searching for a good bakery in Monticello, give DeFilippis a try. In addition to a full bakery, they also have delicious desserts, macrons, and coffee. I was quite impressed.
Yesterday someone brought my child a black & white cookie. He looked at it & said Mommy something is missing. I was surprised when I saw it. If I lived closer I would have brought it back. There was barely any icing on it. I am thinking maybe it didn't cool enough before the icing was put on. However one would think someone looks at the product before selling it???. As far as taste it was ok. Does pride in the product disappear when prices are raised? Business owners, cooks etc..would you accept what you are expecting other people to buy? I think this a valid ?. Peace everyone. Hope everyone stays healthy & happy.
Food is good, service stinks. Understaffed, stood in line for 20 minutes and walked out empty handed, about 5 people were standing around waiting. No sense of urgency with the employees. Ended up walking down the street about 300ft and went across the street to some bagel place. It looked as if they had 30 customers in there, but 10 employees serving people. Food was served and paid for within 5 minutes.
Spent the weekend at the lake house for my sons 3rd bday. They were kind enough to let me in 5 mins after closing to get a bday cake. It was so delicious! Not too sweet and the right balance of cake and icing everyone loved it! Thank you to the staff for accommodating us !
My husband and I were in Monticello from NJ and I googled a place to get coffee. My husband came out with cannoli and eclair with cannoli filling. OMG!! They were so delicious! I’ve been thinking about the eclairs, and am so sad that we live 3 hours away. Great bakery!
Ordered a turkey sandwich, it was horrible it was supposed to come on multigrain bread, and Chipotle mayo it had neather. I called them up and they offered me my money back if I brought back the sandwich which I allready eaten. The people at this business are lazy and nasty and do not care about their customers. Avoid at all costs. No wonder this county is falling apart.
Best Italian bakery upstate New York, We are glad only 2 miles from us, and reminds you of grandmas cooking,on a Saturday morning for a Sunday feast of pastries.
Love the cannoli and the éclairs, filling is just right for both. I was disappointed by the cannoli filling in one of the mini pastries - without the right dough it just didn't work for me. However the Oreo mini pastry was amazing! Love this place.
I'm here inside the bakery now...I've waiting 21 minutes for 1 plain toasted bagel!!! I've been asked 4 times what my order was, yet, I'm still waiting. New York style must mean they travel to Manhattan for each individual bagel update: The owner came by to apologize and return our money which was very professional
