A great place to visit and explore with your dog! It has a great diversity of walking areas both in the open grass field and nearby trail system in the woods. Lots of dogs enjoying the space everyday. Restrooms: A porta-potty is stationed at the front of the park near the parking lot. Dog-friendliness: Exceptionally dog friendly off-leash park for you and your dog to enjoy.
Great dog park, with both a wide open field with hills and flats, a large forested area with good walking trails, and a smaller fenced yard if you don't want your dog running too wild. The entrance has 'airlock' gates to make it hard for dogs to escape unattended. There are a bunch of interpretive signs scattered around and garbage cans for poop bags. Also some picnic tables. Playground: Didn't see a playground there. Restrooms: Just a porta potty. Dog-friendliness: Very dog friendly, that's the whole point. Picnic area: Scattered picnic tables.
Went for the first time the other day, early evening and it was not too busy, everyone was friendly, the park, the path and the trails are beautiful...Parker doesn't have great recall and being fenced is such a comfort, while being huge allowing doggies to run...we've been back a couple times already when it was crazy busy and the doggies and their parents are the best! Playground: Clean, well kept, large, variety of spaces from open fields to wooded trails Dog-friendliness: Every dog big and small was friendly, maybe a couple of bossy tiny ones, but supervised
I've been coming to this park for a few years now, I've rarely had a poor experience. It's a large, well maintained walking loop with a few places to sit down and paths into the trees, all of which is mostly fenced in. Includes a smaller fenced-off pen for sensitive and small dogs. It can become quite muddy fairly quickly after some rain, especially on the southern side of the park. The vast majority of the attendees are friendly with well mannered dogs. Decently sized parking lot and includes a single outhouse right at the entrance for the humans.
Amazing trails! Everyone is so friendly !!! Always conversations with other doggy owners! Only one time did I come across some owners at the picnic table with really big aggressive dogs! They scared my dogs so bad, who ran clear to the other side of the park!
Nice park, gravel path all the way around and a large open field. The trails in the trees are fantastic, parking lot is a bit of a mess and some people don't pick up after their dogs but for the most part worth the drive. It is also fenced and that is helpful for some dog owners.
A hidden gem. The parking lot can be packed and once you get off into the trails you feel secluded.
So nice to have this in our neck of the woods near sherwood park. The park has expanded ice the years and it's fantastic now. Many trails to explore and lots of wide open space. It's well maintained too
One of better dog parks around. Huge fenced area. Has a smaller enclosed area for shy dogs and those you are not sure of recall. Great place to go. Good exercise for the 2 legged dogs also!
Great place for the pups to run around. Huge open space ti throw the ball and some cool trails to walk along. You can skip the trails and just do a lap of the open space for a decent walk too. Pretty well maintained and almost completely enclosed unfenced beyond the trails/forest
