I'm genuinely taking my time out to write a fair review so you can save yourselves the trouble of retaining an incompetent lawyer. If I could give 0 STARS to this law firm I would! Antonio, the owner of this firm was extremely difficult to deal with. Instead of looking at the best outcome for My family and I, he was more focused on the best outcome for himself. After our settlement, Antonio hit us with $20k+ unreasonable charges after already taking a substantial amount of money from the family law case.
Retained Antonio for my divorce case which took 5+ years to settle. I constantly found myself having to battle my own lawyer as he provided zero resolution. At court he would be unprepared and my kids would have to provide him information when he should have done his homework. He had zero empathy and was just looking for ways to bill as high as he could. He took majority of my settlement and even told my kids to get a loan to pay him more money. My case went to trial and he brought 2 new lawyers and sat on the bench while he coached them. He made so many mistakes by over disclosing my information. So much more I could add to this painful experience. I was too invested and obtaining another law firm sounded like too much work but I wish I had taken that step.

Very happy with the support we got from Deer Lake Law Group for my wife's Permentant Resident and Work Visa. We went it route, as advised by DLLG, becasue the work Visa was faster than the PR and it gave us two paths to achive our goals. It was a rather lengthy process, because you are dealing with the Canadian government, but DLLG guided us the whole way and took care of all submissions and questions we were required to supply. Unless you have done this process before, several times, there is no way a private person can navigate the government procedures, which at times are extremely difficult and almost cryptic Unless you want to have your submission take many more years than necessary then you absolutely need to spend the money to get a professional to help you, it is essential. We recommend Deer Lake Law Group. Worth every penny you spend and they are very reasonable. Before I found DLLG I had talked to other legal firms in Vancouver and they were totally unreasonable. at times, almost double the cost. So DLLG will get the job done, the first time, in a reasonable time frame. So in the long run we got the work done, quickly and saved a whole lot of money and time by using the Deer Lake Laws Group.
I was not their client but witnessed first hand how unorganized they were. They also were not upfront on their fees and charges and decided to demand more money once everything was done.
