Deer Haven RV Park

After reading other reviews I was pleasantly surprised by this RV park. It was pretty nice, but certainly not a luxury site. We stayed 3 nights during the 2017 solar eclipse and available sites were pretty scarce so we took a chance here. There were full hook-ups including water, sewer and electric (50A at our site). The spots along the river are pretty small as noted by one reviewer (better for smaller trailers/RVs), but we were in a nice large site along the north edge of the park. There is a lack of shade for sites away from the river, but otherwise a fine site especially for an area with few choices. The one thing that is lacking is any type of bathroom facilities. You have to be self-contained in that regard. There are also some longer term renters as noted by another reviewer, but I had no issue with that at all. Our neighbor was one and he was quite interesting to talk to. The water is definitely well water with a somewhat strong mineral taste so coming in full of fresh or with a good filter is a good idea. Again, that was not an issue for us at all.

Right on the river, hook ups ok , nice gravel pad, grass all around, pic Nik table, historical down town a couple of blocks away, the famous Hobo natural hot springs are close, . The mountians are 20 min away, the best drive ever .

There are lots of cottonwood and willow trees, good grass and the park is on the North Platte River. The picnic tables are modern and in good condition. There are no fire pits.

Nice looking place on the river, a little pricey and limited spaces. Owner not overly friendly.
