!!MUST READ!! If your renting anything from Daystar remember to record your conversations! One lady needs to take a step back and think how she speaks to others, she yelled at a 76 year old lady over the phone and had the rudest way of speaking. Couldn't even get a sentence in with her cutting you off saying "NOOOO" whenever you try to explain anything. Walked in to return the keys for a truck, put the keys on the counter and waited for someone to come serve us. Before we even seen her we hear "where's the keys?" Like 5 times in a short and angry voice, she walks around the corner and gets 1 foot from my face and does it again "wheres the keys?!" At this point she sees how shocked we are from her aggressive verbal communication and walks in the back and gets a older lady who doesn't even wanna talk about what just happened with the other lady. So long story short unless you have no where else to go, don't go here.
I moved my parents back in September and got my first rental truck from Daystar and the experience was perfect. Sue took care of us in a very professional and friendly manner. In February I needed a truck again and again the experience was perfect. Again Sue had everything ready and I paid what was quoted, no hidden fees. Today I needed a truck again and of course would only deal with Daystar and Sue and again had a great experience with them. Thanks Sue for always taking care of us and for being friendly and professional. Till next time
Very disappointed in this moving company. They were an hour and a half late getting started which didn't set the tone properly. Very rough with our belongings. Lots and lots of scratches, damages, and broken items. When we asked about this the answer was 'you have home insurance' which doesn't cover moving by the way! Truck broke down which delayed everything once again. We didn't get our stuff until the next day. The lads moving don't seem to be trained properly to move people and even though boxes were marked with room names, this was completely ignored and boxes ended up everywhere. Unfortunately I cannot recommend them.
Called in to ask what the rates were because I’m in a bit of a jam and need something moved today, the man who answered the phone was much too rude right off the bat. First concern is I called a business number not a personal phone number so I expect to be treated like a customer not like some friend who’s called you too early and you’re annoyed with. Second concern is that when I asked the rates the man goes “Hahaha I’ll tell ya but you’re not going to like it” in a way that was hinting the prices were too high for me. I get it; over the phone I sound like a small child but the fact he even said that was astonishing to me. Very poor business skills, happy I didn’t waste my money on these services. Wish I had read the reviews before hand because I never would have called them and I suggest you don’t either if you’re thinking about it. There’s always a better moving company
Rented one of their trucks to move over a few days. Were easy to deal with, and good pricing.
This company is absolutely horrific. Rented a truck from here the truck was a piece of garbage. The workers/employees don’t know how to speak to people properly. The worker was being bluntly rude to us accusing us of fraud, saying we can’t drive trucks saying “have you even drove a truck before, be careful because if you look up you’ll see a tree” absolutely disgusted will never rent from here again I highly advise nobody to go to this dreAdful company because you will be traumatized. Discrimination to women and absolutely terrible. Never again. Hope you read this review and know how bad your company is.
I decided to go with Daystar to rent our moving truck because my mom recommended I use them as her friends have used them in the past. I had a very pleasant call with the lady working there. She was friendly, personable and knowledgeable and I have nothing bad to say about her at all. However, the gentleman I am assuming Dave from the other reviews is the reason that I will never recommend this company to anyone, nor will I ever use them again. He was arrogant, rude and lacked the basic customer service skills that are expected with any transaction. I am honestly surprised that they are not out of business already. It was our move in day into our first home which should be exciting, and happy and he certainly started my day off on a horrible note. Unfortunately, I wanted to support a local business and it is a shame because I am sure that they will lose more and more customers in the future if they do not change the way that they run their business.
Legit do not go here go to uhaul or anything else these guys are down right rude and avoid the lady named sue as she needs anger meds and some peer to peer training hope this helps you make a decision.
More than helpful and accommodating. Staff was very kind and set us up, just as we needed. Truck was mechanically sound and comfortable.
