Pretty nice spot. No complaints. Room was dark as there’s not enough lighting. Couple bulbs were burnt. But for the price cannot complain. Free breakfast, also a bonus. Over I’m very happy.
We were just passing through Drayton Valley and decided to stay here. It seems that it was an older hotel that was recently renovated. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was tidy and clean, perfect for the one night we stayed. The breakfast had all the basics, so enough for us.nnBe aware there is no elevator, so pack light or ask for a room on the first floor. This didn’t bother us as we had just returned from Europe where elevators are not abundant. There is also no pool, or hot tub.nnIf we were staying in town longer I would probably choose to stay somewhere with more amenities. However if we end passing through Drayton Valley again for the night, we will definitely be staying here.
Not impressed. The only good thing I got from staying at the days in was the breakfast sausages.nThe hotel had a very interesting chemical smell. The room looked ok but the bathroom was not cleaned properly and the door for the bathroom was coming off the hinges. The hairdryer was caked in dirt and dust, the light takes about 40 seconds to actually turn on and the hot water on the sink shuts off by itself after its running for 10 seconds. I had checked out on Friday morning and then had to check back in later that night for an extra day. They gave me back the same room that they said was cleaned but the only thing that looked done was the bed. The bathroom had not been clean or fixed.nThe women lobby washroom had not been cleaned in the 3 days I had been staying there as you can tell by the over flowing garbage can in the picture. The dinning room carpet also had not been vacuumed.
Front staff was nice. Room they gave us was small and smelled like stagnant smoke. Very, very dated. Beds had indents in the middle. I should have checked it out further. My fault! Decided not to stay because of allergies within the family and they wouldn't give any part of a rebate even though we were there for 10 minutes.
Good breakfast and coffee.nNice quiet hotel with laundry services. Close to IGA and pubs for food.
