Great service and lessons. Some reviews here say they are rude, these r consoomers who are used to being like treated like gods just cuz they are customers. This is not a gross corpo music store. You got regular people behind the counter who will help u if u ask and leave u to ur business otherwise
I study with Jordan Saull and it's really helped me bring my music to the next level. I highly recommend this school and teacher to everyone.
Buyer Beware. If you are considering lessons, read the terms and conditions carefully. Research your potential instructor thoroughly Lbecause once you purchase a package, no refunds no transfers. They will offer you store credit only. After dealing with them I called Long and McQuade to get a comparison on lesson terms and conditions. There you pay for what you use. Sure, it’s convenient in the neighborhood but that’s about it.
The staff are really easy-going. My young kids actually enjoy playing the piano and I think it's because Dan Rusic is such an amazing teacher, one of the best. Evan Ritchie's drum lessons are fantastic. We had Glen run a ukulele party at our house for 9 7yo kids which turned out really well. Definitely recommend.
We've had a great relationship with Warren and the staff at Sniders. Always friendly and goes out of the way to help us out. Throughout Covid, they've gone out of their way to make sure everything is safe, clean and easy to access. I've needed strings multiple times on short notice and they've always been there for us. No need for ordering online, waiting 3 hours, and then heading to the shop. Just give 'em a call and show up 5 minutes later! In times like these, we need smaller shops like this to serve our communities. Keep up the good work
Most of the teachers are great. A few are lacklustre. The rock band program is really good, and produces good performances at their performance nights that are held every few months. Fair prices on instruments and equipment, but most of the instruments are "entry-level", so if you're looking for premium items they'll have to special-order them. Good selection of music books available to browse.
They don’t even greet you with a “Hi can I help you with anything today?” They really just expect you to do all the talking for some reason. The guy at the front desk was not very friendly but he recommended a good ukulele for me. I’m very satisfied with my ukulele despite the mediocre customer service.
I've been a guitar player & teacher for 30 years and have always preferred and supported the neighborhood, family businesses as opposed to the big chains. I recently discovered Snider's School of Music and so far it's a perfect fit for me. I am currently on a fixed income due to major surgery, and the owners have worked with me to allow me to purchase what I need for the right price. Most recently I worked with Warren and Randy his guitar tech and instructor to set up a Squier Bullet Strat, and not only was the cost of parts & labor very reasonable, but they did an excellent job on the setup. I look forward to working with them for all of my needs going forward. Highly recommended to all.
Staff here is just too much u walk in and ur lucky if they even say hi much less how can I help you. I’ve come in here on 2 separate occasions now, once with my mom because she saw a ukulele that she liked and the other I walked in because I want to piano lessons. Not once did they get off their chairs to even say hi how can I help u. They looked at me walk in the door and just continued with their conversation as if they didn’t see me. We didn’t buy the ukulele because they didn’t even offer to help even after we verbally expressed our interest in it. Gross customer service I ain’t coming back again.
Really nice teachers, friendly and talented ! You can learn every type of music, you can learn a song as a group,etc... However, the people who are running it aren't the most helpful and think they have every right... They basically want to run their business like any other and want your money.
