Mission

Dartmouth Hillel exists to promote a welcoming community to all those who identify with or are interested in Judaism. Hillel is dedicated to providing resources to help students express and explore Judaism on campus; it strives to engage students of all observance levels through religious, cultural, social, and educational programming.

The main tenets of Dartmouth Hillel include:

* Being a significant organized outlet of Judaism on campus, and thus observing all religious and cultural holidays.

* Recognizing the pluralism of Judaism and accommodating all members of the Dartmouth Jewish community.

* Exercising Tikkun Olam (healing the world) and G'milut Chasadim (acts of loving kindness).

* Fostering positive and constructive relationships with Israel.

* Furthering Jewish education.

* Promoting the development of leadership within the organization and in the community.

* Being a contributing member of the Dartmouth community at large, and participating in the greater effort to create a positive educational and social atmosphere at Dartmouth.
