Darnells Lake Resort

We were a family of 5 (4 adults, 1 child) staying for 2 nights. Outside of resort is nice and right on the lake. Pool is also available and separate cabana for ping pong and a place to check out board games. However, our room had a clogged bathroom sink, small black ants in kitchen and by balcony door and a leaky dishwasher. There was a very kind maintenance worker (it seemed he was the only one on site while we were there) who tried to resolve our issues right away - even purchasing some non toxic ant spray with his own money. We did not have any issues after that. Just small unexpected inconveniences. Overall, an okay stay.

Property is a little older and grounds are kept up nicely. We had a plumbing problem and some ants but we're addressed promptly by the staff. Thank you Darnells for making it right!

It's a really relaxing place. It's not too crowded. I would recommend this place to other people.

This is actually a motel. Nowhere does it mention that on the website. The living quarters are clean but that and the service are definitely motel standards NOT resort standards. Very dated interiors. we got the room on the lower floor & the bedroom was in the back - really dingy, cheaply done. The living space in all is about 500sq ft, dated living room a passage way turned into a kitchen, and a bedroom. If this was advertised as a motel, id probably give it more stars because then guests would expect motel standards not resort standards. We ended up payinh $300 on a holiday weekend, so felt totally ripped off - not knowing this is what we were in for

This is my 6th year coming to Lake Chelan and staying at Darnells. They have definitely made huge improvements over this time; updated cabana, additional restrooms, new front office. There are still a few things that could use some work such as the Wi-Fi and certain amenities within the rooms, but for the price and being right on the lake, it really is a great option for families. Definitely would recommend to someone visiting the area.
