I feel it is my obligation to tell the public my experience with this company, specifically, Manuel "Lowly" da Silva. I posted my project with Trusted Pro. I spoke to Manuel in person after I checked his references who provided a good recommendations. I hired Manuel who represented this company on April 4, 2016. He asked for $2,000. I gave it to him. A few days after with minimal work done, he asked for more money, I gave him another $2,000.00. I noticed he was very slow and his work was shoddy. A week later, he asked for $4,000.00. I refused to give any more money. I am becoming suspicious because he was reneging on some of his responsibility that he mentioned on his estimate like garbage disposal. I hired a licensed electrician to check his work such as pot lights. To my dismay, he left live wire that are not property capped. He put my house and my life including my family in danger. I gave him too much money for the work he did that I am now re-doing. Be sure when you hire a small contractor, make sure not to give them money right away. It's better to hire a BONDED company because you have recourse. I called back his references and I told them be very careful giving good references for these guys because I hired them because of their recommendation. I am out pocket by $4,000 plus I am redoing the work he did at my house.
