This is Ottawa's elevated Korean BBQ experience. All you can eat cannot compare to the quality meats you receive at Daldongnae. I was concerned that this would be more expensive than all you can eat but it isn't, in fact it is cheaper around $29.99 a person split between 3 people. It would be more if you got the Wagyu of course. I found the meal very filling with 3 cuts of meat split between 3 people and the side dishes are all you can eat. The beef short rib had incredible marbling in particular. I did miss having a dessert option like Melona.
Food taste amazing! Service very disappointing. Firstly, it was not a full house that night. Had 4 tables running.Even after that, waiters were nowhere to be seen. We tried grabbing one of the waiters attention but he was actually seen being on the phone amd taking selfies instead of waiting tables. It was a real struggle to grab any of their attention. We were 5 ppl and ordered 7 servings of meat for the table. When we had to order a second round of the complimentary sides, the guy in brown sweater different attire from other waiters had a very irritated look and a snarky tone because we asked for 3 sides refill first but then remembered a fourth one. Even though the food was good, the service compared to Gyukaku/Gyubee or any other Korean/Japanese bbq place was disrespectful. I wouldn’t go back to Daldongnae.
Delicious food and awesome service. We came with kids and they accommodated us all the way by finding us a small and cozy spot.nnI dropped a spoon on the floor and the waitress appeared out of nowhere with a clean spoon and a huge smile. Attention to small details makes the difference.nnAs for the food, we loved the omelet and creamy sweet corn on the side and kept asking for more.nnThe wagyu beef was ok and priced accordingly not the best part but a good portion to compensate. My daughters devoured it so I’m happy with it!nnThe seafood pancake was so delicious I forgot to take a picture.nnWe had a soup that was a bit salty, which would be the only so-so part of the experience.nnThis place focuses on meat and seafood quality, and it makes a huge difference when you compare with other all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ.nnMight be slightly more expensive but it’s worth it.nnHighly recommended.
Nicely renovated place beside the karaoke place across from Scotiabank on Bronson and somerset. Staff is friendly. Unique a la cart process yet lots of freebies. The bbq meats had decent quality. We also tried their cocktails as well as the seafood pancake. It's been a while for us having kbbq. Highly recommended and would come back. Good spot for a date night. A little pricey if you are getting drinks and apps.
It didn't give me the wow factor, but their service is the best. You will get unlimited sides such as corn, garlic, and veggies.
