A very nice place and I must say that this is the best south Indian restaurant I could find in KWC region. There are huge wait times during rush hours but it's okay to wait and have the delicious food. Service is good as well! The special Idlis I had were super fresh and super tasty.
One of the finest dining experience with authentic south Indian delicacies. We ordered four different type of masala dosa and every bit out it was up to the mark. You also get option of vada,idli and sweets. Price ranges between $15-$20 per person. Staff was polite and friendly too. Vegetarian options: Yes, everything here is vegetarian. Kid-friendliness: Yes they have a kids menu too. Parking: In front of the store. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes as its on ground floor.
Delicious southern Indian food at Cambridge! Flavourful dishes with crispy dosa. So yummy. Since it was our first time there, Bhangav took time to explain the dishes and drinks, he made excellent recommendations, thank you for your help! We really enjoyed our dinner there and will come back when we are in Cambridge.
Dakshin never fails to amaze me with their excellent customer service. Even though they are fully packed and multiple delivery orders, they take care of customers nicely. I have tried almost everything on their menu and that couldn’t be better. Must-go place for authentic South Indian food. If you are going there on weekend, make sure to go half an hour ahead as they don’t book tables, but the food is worth the wait.
Was craving some Dosa & Idli for a while, and tried out Dakshin and they did not disappoint! Great funky decorated walls, some good old Indian music in the background and hustling & bustling of a typical Udupi restaurant in India. Food lived upto yhe high expectations set by the ambience and my cravings! Mysore Sada Dosa - 5/5 Onion Tomato Uttappam - 5/5 Idli Sambar - 4.5/5 Mango Lassi- 5/5 actually tasted like lassi, not like a mango shake All 3 chutneys were really good but we preferred the tomato & the white coconut chutney over the green. Sambar was traditional & authentic. Must visit if in the area! Vegetarian options: Traditional South Indian food.
All the dishes here are vegetarian. Taste wise the food was really great. Loved the dosa, uttapam and the combo menu. But, I think quantity wise it could have been better. Next time, I want to try their thali and puri masala. There might be some waiting time before you are able to get a table. And they don’t take reservations over the phone. Overall, its a 'go again' restaurant for me and my family.
Tasty food ,quick service. The restaurant does not take reservations, so you have to go there and hope you get a table or get on the waitlist. Food was generous portions and well made. Would like more sambhar on the plates though : Overall, delicious, efficient service. We will be back soon!
Ambience is good. They serve typical Tamil style food. The food is good here. Ms. Muskan provided us a great service, she was calm, sorted & quick. She knows her job really well. If a person is dining, he needs both good cuisine and good service. Why should just staff in food business be held accountable for providing good customer service, and does the owner have the authority to mistreat customers? And by the justification that she was yelling at staff, because she is going through a lot? and that the way to release her frustration… wow..??? Employees our students , who are already struggling to make ends meet and some of whom are undoubtedly working for PR, are being treated horribly. If they are new, give them solid instruction, but don't yell at them in public if they make a mistake. Also Fails to give the staff tips that they deserve…
We ordered rasam, masoor dosa and masala dosa. The food was nice, rasam was bit on the salty side but overall the food was great. The service was quick and the ambiance was great too. Total indian style feel.
