Just bought a banana split and the banana had black spots all over and the employee couldn’t even bother taking all of the peeling off. And before you say what’s in the picture is chocolate syrup, no, it’s a black spot. Banana splits aren’t cheap, the banana should be nothing less than perfect. And I’m not the type that sends back food to correct. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry and have seen first hand what happens to food that gets sent back, I just won’t patronize Dairy Queen in Fairfield again. I mean you probably saved 20 cents by using that bad banana, but you lost a long time weekly customer.
How do you screw up something as basic as an ice cream Sunday? Go to this DQ and you’ll find out how! Incompetent, really idiotic employees. We got a banana split and they had to remake it twice because they couldn’t figure out how to put 3 scoops of ice cream in a dish and 3 toppings. Not kidding not joking. Am I wrong to think that 6 high school kids standing around doing nothing would try to get it right? Yes. Don’t go- stay away. Seriously it’s a shame this used to be a wonderful place. It’s gone to rot. It was filthy dirty. Like the health department needs to do their jobs.
If I could give this location a zero, I would. Terrible customer service !! Very slow service!! There’s only one person doing orders but they have like 20 employees there! Not to mention the amount of anti blackness at this location. They treat black customers different from others! I was questioned about my ice cream, a receipt was asked for and the workers acted like they did not want to remake my order! However, when a white guy came in to complain about his incorrect order, they allowed him to keep ALL of his blizzards for FREE, no argument, no one asked for his receipt and they remade his order. Whereas with me, a black woman, they threw my incorrect blizzards away and gave me attitude about remaking my order. How rude. The female manager and the black girl with braids did not give good customer service at all. I hope one day someone treat you like how you all treated me!!! Not to mention, this was my first time ordering from this location and my order was wrong. Everyone in line was getting wrong orders! This place is very unorganized. This reviews on here are probably fake bc everyone outside was complaining about their SLOW service and their INCORRECT ORDERS.
Please consider having separate order and pick up windows. Or at least pay immediately after ordering instead of when retrieving your order. Hard to pay and try to shield your ice cream from the people hovering over it, all trying to order and pay at one small window. I was waiting to pick up yesterday and was quickly engulfed by 8 girls all ordering at the same time. It's always chaos and anxiety provoking. Which customer surrounding the window is going to cough on me or my icecream?
aye my fault i’m not white but no need to put an attitude about serving hispanics. i didnt know we weren’t allowed to have some dq or was it the fact that we a white person was with us? either way definitely 10/10 service with employees like that‍
This place is disgusting. I spend 50$ here and after what I experienced 2 weeks ago, I will never return. My mother is the one that always goes out to buy everything, this day I decided to go first time so I wasn’t to sure how it worked. I ordered what I ordered which was 46$. Complete chaos. The system is not so smart. Apparently you order you order at the tiny window, step aside while others are taking other people orders, once your order is up that’s when you pay. Anyways, we were stepped to the side for 5 minutes which I feel is a while to wait for ice cream, this young woman with red hair takes a customer that came way after me order & placed it on the counter. She ordered exactly what one of the items I ordered so I grabbed it again I didn’t know how this worked at the time, and immediately and disgustingly the employee with red hair said “that’s not for you.” & looked at them woman and gave her a big smile and told her it’s for her. As if she’s trying to belittle me. I told the employee it’s not that serious, you could’ve politely told me that it wasn’t for me and it could’ve been the end of story. The customer was very nice and told me to take it but I refused because of the disgusting and looks the employee was giving me. I forgot to mention when I grabbed the ice cream I handed it to my son because that’s what he ordered. Instead of the employee seeing a kid excited for his ice cream have it, she did what she did. I mean, I felt after waiting so long and this person just practically came that it was mine. The employee continued to prepare other peoples order and kept looking bad staring at me with the dirtiest look. I’m with my two kids, what you’re not going to do is try to embarrass me and try to intimate me. I told her idk what she keeps looking at and she eruptly laughed in my face. I mean honestly, all of this over something so small. Ridiculous. Once I left I sat in my car and observed all of them standing around laughing joking about the situation and I knew they were because they kept looking at my car and doing this. It honestly felt like I was being racially profiled. Let’s not take care of the mixed family that just spent 46$ And give all the attention to the white women who just spent 3$. Seriously I will never come back here. It’s not worth complaining because they reply with the same robotic paragraph all the time. Teach these young people you have working in your establishment mannerism and compassion. It really looks bad. She should not be working in any job involving customer service. Also I noticed all the employees care more about socializing and talking amongst themselves then helping customers. They also do not greet you. When you walk up to the window it’s “what can I get for you?” Not a hi how are you today. Shame on you guys. Outside of the ice cream shoppe is also very dirty.
NEVER AGAIN GOING THERE. What a way to ruin what should have been a beautiful Saturday family outing, 9/25/2021. Saturday is our family 's burger and ice cream day; and today, we decided to go to Dairy Queen in Fairfield. While I was ordering thru the small counter window, another sales staff called another customer in line and then the manager called a third one in line - all of us being serviced through a small window. They were entertaining and taking orders of three customers at the same time. I asked them to please wait till the other customer leaves since we are still asked to social distance. And rudely, the manager says to me, they are not doing anything wrong. She was not going to listen to my request, which was to please finish taking and filling my order before calling another customer to the window. Well, what do you know, 2 of the 3 orders were wrong and my order which was something I regularly order from Dairy Queen was a Pineapple-Banana Blizzard was not what I got. Instead what I got was vanilla ice cream blended - really with scant pineapple and no bananas. Both me and the other customers got to talking and we were both astonished how they were insistent in entertaining multiple customers thru a small window at one time. We could not socially distance at all. I was so disgusted that when I told them that my order was wrong - they were still piling up the customers that they could not attend to me or hear me... so I simply left my order without eating and left. Sorry Dairy Queen Fairfield, you will never see us again come to your store. And yes, I will report you to the health department.
Dairy queen is Dairy queen, nice ice cream and blizzards. What is driving this review is the service. The girl at the window was rude and nasty. She yelled at people because they weren’t forming the line properly. She reprimanded my group because 2 of us approached the counter and apparently it should have only been one person. Completely understand each establishments right to their own rules during covid, but its all in the presentation. She could have said all the things she said jn a kind tone instead of literally yelling at people. A job in Customer service is not for everyone
Girl at the window was very rude. Never even got any ice cream. Great business you have running here .
