They were generous with the ice cream for the sizes. Nevertheless, I do think that being out of the flavor of the month on the first day of memorial day weekend is a bit of a disappointment. Seems to me that the management is lacking a little bit at this location. Nevertheless, the staff was friendly enough and the ice cream is as expected!
This is no longer Dairy Queen . It's has authentic Mexican Food .
As you grab your knife to cut into your delicious blizzard cake. You stop and ask yourself if you should stab SpongeBob right in his eye. And than and than the knife pushes through the cake. And you enjoy the cake, five stars.
Tonight was our last night coming here. This is completely mis-managed. The customer service is as bad as it gets. It's 50/50 if they have something you want on the menu. Don't try to order a slush - that machine has been out of order all summer. Too bad we love the ice cream here but its about time to find a new place. This one location is really diminishing a quality brand.
Go to different DQ if you want a Blizzard. I have never gotten a fully mixed blizzard regardless of size, but my last one was the worst of the bad Blizzards. To only have toppings mixed in on the top and 3/4 of a medium blizzard is plan vanilla ice cream, in what was supposed to be a brownie batter blizzard is ridiculous. I don't know why they can't mix them. Earned 2 stars because sundaes are made good.
Even though I was first in line the wait for some one to acknowledge that I was even there took several minutes. The person waiting on me was very nice and attentive while taking my order to make sure it was correct. However when delivering my food instead of being on a tray even though my dining preference was to dine in it was put into a brown paper bag, and dropped on the counter and abandoned. Also failed to deliver everything I ordered. While waiting for my missed items I had to wait for others to get their complete order before I could get mine. While I was eating other patrons had to return to the counter to get their ordered items. One was missing their toast. Another 2 blizzards one medium one small another patron didn't get their drink cup. The floor was unkempt and the tables needed bussing. The ketchup on the table needs to be filled.
Like the majority of reviews here, my experience was not great. I got the blizzard I ordered fairly quickly but no hello, thanks or goodbye. He shoved my change in my hand and slammed shut the window. I ordered a mini snickers blizzard, which was a little larger than 3oz Dixie cup for $3.59. The candy was hard to chew, like it was dried out/old. No need for DQ corporate to leave a “canned” apology to me, just take some action to get the owner/manager to improve their systems and customer service before they have no more customers to serve! There are too many options in town that offer a much better customer experience rather than coming here and “bothering” their staff.
My lady and I went here to get some relief from the heat. The cashier, Skyler, was rude to us at the counter and was ignoring the group of people behind us which were beginning to become an angry group of people. I had ordered two blizzards, and one pup cup. Skyler come to our table, slammed the two blizzards down, then turned and walked away. I asked about the pup cup, which I was cut off, by this young man, "I know!" We waited again, this time my lady at the counter, and myself trying to keep cool rather than scream at this guy. Their manager did their job. Apologizing, refunding the money to the group that were waiting 30 minutes plus for their food, then the manager got the pup cup for us. Meanwhile, this kid has his back to us and just couldn't bring himself to turn around. We left having the entire staff by name work down, including the general manager. I waited, called Mark, the general manager, and asked him what he was willing to do about this. He informed us that he would talk to Skyler. I asked him what else he was willing to do about this. I got the same exact response. This person is the root of their issues. If your manager doesn't know how to treat their guests and go above and beyond, then your staff gives the minimum effort to get through the day. We will never go here again and recommend you go elsewhere for your ice cream needs.
Went here about a month ago and was trying to avoid an online review as the staff are teenagers and are experiencing their first job but this place is deplorable, which is a shame because I like DQ. I spent 45 min at the window from when I started timing it to receive 2 blizzards. The first 15 min we were ignored as the staff member was preparing the order behind us and then when we were acknowledged it was a quick exchange of money. No hello, no sorry about the wait, just the total and a hand out the window and then waiting and waiting for another 15 minutes as the sack of food for the following guest was getting cold and us waiting for our ice cream. After another 15 minutes or so another worker opened the window and asked us what we ordered and then yelled "who's working on this order" with no reaponse she shuts the window and leaves. 15 minutes later we are asked if we'd like a different blizzard as they made the wrong kind. I said no and we received our order. Still with no apology. The next day I went back and asked to talk to the manager and was given a young woman that gave the excuse of that they were busy. Still no apology. I expressed that within the 45 minutes of waiting I saw and heard everything that the staff was doing and saying and that their actions do not reflect well on the business and that customers take notice of what the employees are doing. They said they would pass on the information but still did not give an apology. All it takes is a simple apology to turn a bad situation into a positive one but I will not be going back to this store unfortunately. I would rather drive an hour out of my way to get my DQ fix in Hastings.
As a staff member here for 10 months, I've seen this place through the good and bads. The food here is moderate, wouldn't recommend a grilled chicken, but the crispy chicken is great! The ice cream is good, but we don't flip our ice cream because sometimes our machine causes the ice cream to be more melty, and we can't always make them perfectly, so sorry for anything there. We've had some mishaps with customers because most of us are teens looking for a job to start on, it's not always easy dealing with some customers too, but in general most people are polite and it's enjoyable to interact, most of the time when a customer is upset it's due to an error or miscommunication on our part. Recently we've had 4 managers quit and hired on a lot of new people , so I hope if you've had any bad experiences that it'll get better and you can come enjoy the little food joint we're trying hard to keep running. Thank you all for the experience I've had so far, and I hope the best for everyone
