I highly recommend this place. Friendly atmosphere and there's variety of food to choose from at a very reasonable price. Scrumptious meal and dessert is a must when you're at Dairy Freez. Ice cream, fruity shakes are just delicious Nice area to enjoy meal and unwind in the back patio.
My children and grandchildren took me out for an ice cream treat for my birthday Once again...they didn't disappoint!! Their service and HUGE cones were amazing, and the kids loved the little animal statues around the grounds : Parking: There's plenty of parking out front and the adjoining parking lot!
This place is an Essex County classic. Either you know it - and already love it, or are about to visit and love it. Great atmosphere, food and drinks are reasonably priced. Classic dinner fare, with great quality ingredients. One thing to be mindful, it's cash only. But there is an ATM on site.
TLDR: Expensive, cold and slow. Victoria day service was good, servers were nice and quick when taking our orders. However, our group of seven waited for over 45 minutes to get our food and we were all highly disappointed. Our food was cold and frankly underwhelming for such an expensive order. We paid $85 for a terrible meal and we were all left unhappy with the experience. Many other tables got served before us and we believe our order was left forgotten until we asked at the 40 minute mark. We all expected better from such a highly praised location.
Such a hidden gem. Price is so good. Nice soft serve plus fast food. Lovely back yard and or shelter area to sit and relax and enjoy your ice cream treat or meal. It is a cash only venue though...they have an atm on siteFood: 5/5

a ice cream cone chocolate dipped at$4.50 seems very expensive to me. Service was great right to your car window but tipping adds to the cost even more. 2 cones dipped soft ice cream plus tip $10.00Food: 4/5
The best! I am 61 years old and been eating there since I was able to eat and my parents since they were in High School. It is the same now as it was then! So Good!Food: 5/5

Always a pleasure going out for a drive and stopping for ice cream at Dairy Freez. You always get your money's worth when you get ice cream out there. When you wanna sit and relax in the warmer days they have a quiet quaint seating area in the back.Food: 5/5
