Nice restaurant. Love their veal scallopini with mushroom sauce and Italian salad. Will have to return to try their half price appetizers on Tuesdays to Fridays from 8pm to 10pm.
Our family has a meal there once a month, there are between 10 and 20 who attend. I have had the soups and pizza on numerous occasions, Caesar salad and Lasagna. The food is good, soups are made from scratch and it all comes in a reasonable time even though we are always there as a large group. My wife has food allergies and they are always accommodating. We like the private room they have for groups of 10 or more. The kitchen is open and the staff is friendly. I have no problem recommending. If your looking for a friendly Italian restaurant, good food, lots of parking, good service this is the place.
Da Santino made a terrific venue for my dad's 80th birthday party a few months ago. Their private room is the perfect size for groups of 20 to 30 people and the staff were very accommodating during both the planning and the event itself. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. I know that people enjoyed their meals because most brought home their leftovers. I will be back for a regular dinner and I would not hesitate to book another party here.
Delicious food, and incredible atmosphere! Da Santino is one of the most authentic Italian restaurants in Ottawa! The food is amazing and I would be confident ordering anything off their menu knowing everything is fresh and made to order. I found the staff very welcoming and knowledgeable when it came to the menu and wine pairings. I highly recommend a visit to Da Santino for fantastic food and an overall great experience!
Super nice looking family restaurant with real Italian food. The chef knows what he's doing and it's a little hidden pearl in Ottawa. I recommend to everyone to check this place out. If you like Italian food you'll love this place and you'll feel right at home.
Went for a paint nite, that was amazing. The staff at the restaurant were slow, especially when it came to payment. There was an issue with a group bill and it took almost 20 min to sort it out. They could have managed the situation better as far as I'm concerned.
This restaurant is walking distance 29 mins for us.... So we love it.... We've been coming here pretty much since it opened. It only gets better! We were there last night for my husbands birthday and enjoyed a lovely dinner of fettuccine Alfredo him and veal cannelloni me - this time I ordered the chef salad ...and the tomatoes were soooooo fresh I could smell them! My husband had the Caesars as he always dies and it didn't disappoint. We had no room for desert but they brought a pice of tiramisu with a candle in it for my husband which I thought was a very nice touch. Was also here about 6 weeks ago with 7 other women for dinner then we moved into the banquet room for a "paint night" which was LOADS of fun and laughter!!! We will be going back... There was one very negative review in this site but the person didn't have the guts to sign their name - I always assume when people use pseudonyms or initials it's because they are cowards and hiding behind this shield. They must have something to hide. I will give positive and critical reviews with my name attached.
I love this place. Best service, best food. Chicken parm is amazing. Owner takes pride in the quality of food and often works the kitchen himself!! Great place for a nice romantic dinner!
Great place. Loved the food, especially the soup. The half price apps, after 8pm, was a great surprise. Once i started to taste them, I had to order more.
The waitresses are very nice. The only good thing to eat there is the pizza and the rach of lamb which has gotten worst and worst with time Those two items were awesome and now, you get rotten vegetables with your rack of lamb, sooo rotten that they even smell bad. Pizza is good but WAY overpriced! Everything else is absolutely horrible! The portions are WAY TOO small! The salads always have rotten vegetables in them... The waiters are OK... Not the best and the decor is nice but then they put dollarama items to decorate the place... Which makes it look very cheap! Save your money and go somewhere else. Accross the street, Merivale Fish Market has never disapointed!
