This place was recommended by a friend and OMGoodness - it was awesome!! We had the lunch special and it’s a lot of food for the money $8!! Perfectly cooked fried chicken crispy & juicy and not greasy at all. You get a choice of either spicy or mild sauce. Both look the same and taste like mango/habanero? with the spicy one having just a little more heat - like a thicker & more flavourful honey-hot wing sauce. We also had rice and plantains instead of fries and both were yummy. Also carry a unique variety of drinks too. The guy cooking and serving was a blast to deal with as well. Unfortunately they are also known for their cheesecake but alas none available today. Just gives us another reason to go back again soon! ;

We had an amazing 1/2 Jerk Chicken platter w/rice , Macaroni Pie & Plantain recently. We also tried the Goat Roti, and both were the best we've had. including a couple of trips to Jamaica! We'll be back soon!
Ordered the lunch special of 2 chicken pieces with fries for $7.99 for each family member. Everyone loved it. Chicken wasn't too thickly battered, juicy and tender. Spicy sauce had just the right kick. Fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. A bit of a wait with one person ahead of me. Owner, who was the only person working, said he'll be hiring more staff. We'll definitely be going back for more.
Wow! Absolutely delicious and such great prices. My boyfriend and I got the Whole Jerk Chicken platter with rice, sautéed vegetables, macaroni pie and a side of plantains. I can’t wait to come back and try different items on the menu.
I have eaten here twice now. Both times were fantastic. We got jerk chicken, fried chicken, wings and the chicken sandwich. High quality food and very reasonable prices. I recommend supporting this local spot in an up and coming neighbourhood.
A wonderful experience. The chefs are so kind and their passion for their food shows. We had the jerk chicken, poutine, roti, and the soup. It also came with rice and beans, coleslaw, and a vegetable medley. Everything was truly delicious. Awesome flavours, great portions, and fresh. Will definitely be returning!
Been here twice as I like to give places a second shot. Both times the fried chicken was horrendous, completely dried out to the point of not being edible. Worst chicken I have ever had to eat. One time I arrived just after opening so obviously the chicken was from the previous day. Lady was nice enough but the food wasn’t up to standard. Another strange thing was the dirty construction workers that constantly walked through the prepping area. Not sure what the deal is with that. As a tradesperson myself i don’t appreciate unclean people being near food.
Have to give them a one star for the chicken. I am not sure if this was just a fluke or not as it is the first time we have ordered from here, but they microwaved the fried chicken so it was soggy and chewy. Had to throw it out unfortunately. Fries and Mac and cheese were okay though, but I think I'll pass if I ever want any fresh fried chicken again.
The jerk chicken, goat roti & doubles were absolutely delicious! The owner was very friendly and came to check on us as we ate our meals on the patio. A must-try if in the neighborhood!
