Story

Darul Uloom Canada is a premier institution of traditional Islamic education dedicated to transmitting the trust of sacred knowledge to future generations. Students will receive a holistic education which meets their spiritual, academic, intellectual, physical and social needs so that they may graduate as scholars who teach by setting an example.

Darul Uloom offers a full-time course for the memorization of the Holy Quran, the Hifz Program. Students will study from qualified Huffaz and will typically complete the memorization of the Holy Quran in approximately three years.

Darul Uloom also offers a full-time Alim Program. During this six year program, students study at the hands of traditional scholars of the sacred Islamic sciences. The students will receive instruction directly from scholars who have ijaza (licenses) to teach connected back to the Beloved Prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon Him—thus keeping alive the classical methodologies of preserving and reviving the prophetic inheritance and sacred trust bestowed unto us by Allah (swt) and passed down through generations of the salaf al saliheen (righteous predecessors). Students study both the inward and outward Islamic sciences with six years of in depth study of the Holy Quran, Tafseer, Hadith, Fiqh, Arabic Grammar, and Tajweed.

Graduates of the Hifz and Alim programs go on to serve their communities, reviving the study of the sacred Islamic sciences. They take the roles of imams, teachers and exemplary role models of how following the Shariah and Sunnah of the Blessed Prophet peace be upon him is key to success both in this life and in the hereafter. They serve to promote the Love of Allah (swt) and His Messenger in the hearts of Muslims while teaching the traditional Islamic sciences and presenting an accurate image of Islam to the non-Muslim community.

Darul Uloom's campus has spacious classrooms, a masjid, a full size sports gym, play room and dormitories. It is located in Chatham, Ontario.
