I sat in the Curry courtroom as an observer. Judge Margolis (NOT DA but Circuit Judge) was a joke. The case observed was a contested traffic ticket. The judge was arrogant, disrespectful and abusive. He lacked knowledge of the Oregon traffic statutes. He quoted and applied a statute that was outdated. Therefore, he ruled improperly. Too bad for the poor sucker with the ticket. Videos of his past courtroom behavior should be observed by superiors. I personally believe he has a serious inferiority complex. I'd say, stay out of small, rural towns; avoid their speed traps but definitely just pay the fines. You haven't a chance.
