I have always liked this little shop, a lot of quaint hometown items to purchase. But I bought a pair of earrings for a Christmas present a few weeks ago and took it back within a few days because I realized that one of the earrings didn't dangle properly. The jewel part of it on one earring was good, the other seemed like it was stuck on the metal part and did not move when it should have. They looked stupid and I did not want to give them as a gift. I took them back...with the receipt...and the lady went and talked to her Mgr., came back and said "Since you already have them, we can't take them back"...WHAT? What does that mean? That if I don't notice a flaw in an item Before I buy it, too bad? I'm out of luck....not to mention money? BAD customer service. I now have a pair of earrings that will just sit there on the card forever and money gone, like I can afford to throw it away. This is not the 70's....almost ALL stores take back jewelry, including earrings, make-up, etc. I only wanted to exchange them. Not a happy camper, won't be looking at them any more. Sadly.
