Established in 1877. 98% MADE FRESH ON THE PREMISES. Well known for delicious sticky loaves, old recipe cookies, tarts and squares, home-made chocolate, holiday foods (like Easter chocolate, hotcross buns, mince tarts etc), buns, bread and especially our secret recepe and what we're known for most...our doughnuts...done the old fashioned way! Such a special little spot! I love coming here every time I’m near the square. The harvest loaf has to be the best bread I’ve ever had in my life! So soft and moist. And our personal favorite is the cream puffs! Delicious. We love this place!
Culberts is worth lining up for. Before they open, there’s a queue of customers waiting to get their hands on a box full of yummy goodness. If you’re in Goderich you have to stop by and pick up their famous cream puffs. Fortunately for us they opened up a satellite business in London.
Came 30 minutes before they opened to finally try their famous cream puff donuts and let me tell you it was well worth the wait! Such a great local business that is so loved by the community! I’ll certainly be back and likely many times!
Disappointed with the chocolate cream puffs I got today, they seemed drier than usual and shockingly under-frosted compared to previous summers I've visited. Had an excellent one at Covent Garden Market location just a few weeks ago that was beautifully frosted and fresh, you could really taste the difference!
A wonderful bakery; I found it interesting that the sweet baked goods didn't taste too sweet. They didn't have a sickly sweet aftertaste. They were delicious, without adding tons and tons of sugar, or at least that's how it tasted to me.
