Crystal Crate & Cargo

Was going to make a nice purchase but the cashier was complaining about religion. Two things not to talk about while waiting on a paying public, politics & religion.

We stayed in one of the suites (#3) above this unique shop. The suite was impeccably clean and furnished with class. Everything from the fully equipped kitchen with wares from the shop, to the satiny smooth cotton bedding, and stackable front-load washer and dryer, made this an ideal place to stay for an extended weekend or long vacation. This in all actuality is a two bedroom apartment. Sally, the proprietor, was most friendly and made us feel most welcome right from the beginning. We spent our days in Empire, Glen Arbor and Leland, but it was well worth the drive to stay in Beulah, MI.

What a gem of a store in northern Michigan. Worth the drive just for the wonderful merchandise, but the staff is a joy to deal with. Fun to wander around, and you have to circle at least twice to take it all in.Great style and choice of items that they carry. Even when you call on the phone to ask for something shipped that you wish you had bought when you were there, they are so helpful. You may even get to see Sonia Begonia from Benzonia, the sweet white poodle who greets you with her toy. Just a wonderful all around experience. Makes me want to go just writing this.
