My experience with this hotel the booking was in my wife's name, we were a family of two adults and two children was nice, except for two points. If the management could take care of these two points, I will be happy to return. First, we left a request for our room to be cleaned and serviced when we stepped out on the second morning. We were out all day, and came back in the evening to find that the room had not been cleaned, used towels not replaced, coffee and sugar not replenished. That was a bit of a disappointment. The other problem was that although the room itself was quite nice and spacious, the bathroom does not have an exhaust! If it did, it was clearly not working. The location of the hotel is quite nice, although the breakfast buffet could improve its spread and variation.
Stayed for 1 night.nBeautiful hotel walking distance to lots of restaurants. we were traveling with a trailer and they had a few options for us to park off of the hotel grounds which was real nice.nnRoom was fully updated, modern and clean but the only odd thing is the shower tub / tile / fixtures was not replaced? it was yellowish compared to the rest of the washroom and showing signs of age.nnTub was chipped, shower hardware showing signs of age... but it was very clean with new grout.,.. that close to a 5/5 star :
I booked a standard room with two queen beds at this hotel, advertised as 4 stars — but the experience was far from it. The elevator was tiny, like in a 1-star motel, and couldn’t even fit the luggage cart. No staff offered to help, and the room was extremely small, dusty, with a worn-out door and windows facing the street. It felt more like a low-end motel than a 4-star hotel.nnI’ve stayed in 3-star hotels before that were much better. The pictures online are misleading — showing hallways and nicer areas, but standard rooms are cramped, outdated, and disappointing.nnI was ready to cancel and leave, but thankfully a staff member named Nihar helped us upgrade to a junior suite with a river view, which was much better. Surprisingly, even the elevators were different for upgraded rooms, which raises questions about fairness in how standard guests are treated.nnParking is also an extra $17/night for an unsecured outdoor lot in downtown. Leaving early in the morning didn’t feel very safe.nnOverall, the hotel needs serious renovation and more transparency in its advertising. Thanks again to Nihar — without his help, we wouldn’t have stayed. Definitely not worth the price in general
We stayed here during an event and it was lovely for the most part.nThe staff were great, our room was nice and very comfy.nIt's an older hotel with narrow hallways but ramps built in to make it accessible.nWe found the restaurants in the hotel too pricy.nLots of business features for a business trip.nThere was a pool but it has high traffic and was pretty dirty the weekend we were there.nWe also found it quite loud. A baseball team was staying and the boys were really disruptive all night long. We could also hear the door near the stairwell slamming all night long.nThe AC worked great though, and drowned out a bit of the noise.nLots of parking, but we ran over a nail in the parking lot and ended up springing a leak in our tire. Thankfully friends helped us out.nnOverall it was an ok visit, would have liked the staff to enforce quiet hours with the baseball teams.
We had a lovely stay. Codie and Penny made sure our check in was super smooth. They were very communicative and let us know all we needed to know! The room we got was really great and so was the breakfast. Would definitely stay here the next time we are here!
