Cross, Jenks, Mercer and Maffei has provided quality legal services to clients since 1889. Our offices are located in historic downtown Baraboo, and once housed a wagon shop and dance hall in the early 1900's.

The firm began in 1889 as a boutique practice specializing in civil litigation representing insurance companies, banks and local businesses. By the mid 1950’s the firm was lead by Clyde Cross, who enjoyed a statewide reputation for his masterful trial practice skills. His strong legacy continues today in the highly regarded members of the firm.

Over the last 40 years, the firm diversified its practice to meet the growing needs of its clients. Today, the attorneys of Cross, Jenks, Mercer and Maffei specialize in virtually all aspects of the law, making it a well respected full-service law firm.
