advertised as a 3h-long tour on the saint-laurent, but ended up being 40 minutes in the middle of the river (they had to go pick other tourists at another pier among other things). knowledgeable speaker, but when she was not speaking we had constant terrible celtic music soundtrack. they are taking advantage of their monopolistic position in tadoussac by ripping off tourists while offering a bad service. avoid.

Unfortunately we had a bad experience with Aml. Too expensive and disorganized. If you want to go whale watching find another organisation.

If you are looking to have a good whale watching trip - look elsewhere! We went on the zodiac expedition tour and the captain of the boat basically went in random directions,and all we saw were a few humps in tne waters. Most of the time was spent hurtling across the waters for no reason ! Patience is the name of the game when you want to view these gentle giants of the sea - sadly the zodiac crew had nine of that. I have been on several whale watching trips both in the US and the Soviet Union, but never have I seen such an ill advised approach to viewing whales. The so called naturalist guide was ill informed and did not have much to add, beyond periodically screaming "look whales" ! I met with another group that had taken similar trips with a much smaller company in the St.Catharine area - they got better views and had a lot of fun. Spend your money elsewhere !

Where: Croisières AML, Tadoussac What: A whale watching boat tour How was it: Sadly we only saw few tails, but it was late in the year. Nothing really special about the cruise itself, maybe the outcome would have been different if we had seen actual whales. Grade: Eli = 3, Serge = 3 Recommend : Well, if you've made it to Tadoussac, why not !?
