Really enjoyed our visit earlier today. We only visited for a coffee on the patio and ended up staying for lunch as the menu looked so fantastic. Their burgers are super tasty. The owner and his wife were incredibly friendly and took their time to explain their various other activities. We really enjoyed our visit and will go again for sure… probably on quiz night.
I was in the area needing lunch and decided to stop here and try it for some grub. As soon as you walk in there is a large selection of board games that I assume you can use! There is plenty of parking and a wide selection of food that is written with chalk very beautifully. One of the owners was taking the orders. I told him I was a burger connoisseur and needed help with my selection. He was right on top of it explaining not only the different burgers ingredients but that all of the meat is locally sourced as well as the buns are from a local bakery. I eventually ended up with the firelord burger. I wasn’t sure if I was allowed to sit down and eat without playing a game or joining one but they were more than welcoming. I grabbed the table in the back and Watched some other customers play Warhammer i believe There were quite a few games going at the time but the place was relatively quiet and everyone was very respectful of the game. Some music came on that seem to go along with the theme of the gaming My Burger Came piping hot and with it came my Cajun fries that I ordered. I cannot decide what I liked better the fries alone were delicious plus the Cajun seasoning and the burger was huge and full of toppings it didn’t have a lot of sauce but it definitely didn’t need it. I could barely get the whole thing down in one sitting. Overall it was clean, friendly and welcoming. I had a great experience and would highly recommend this place whether you’re grabbing some food or playing a board or fantasy game! Thanks
This place is awesome. Super friendly staff, specifically the owner who gave incredible customer service. Made us feel at home. Beer is great, and I had to try the milkshake which was ludicrously good. Definitely coming back. My party and I had a blast playing some hilarious games. I will definitely come back and I couldn't recommend it more if you're into having some brews and ripping some board games with friends. 5/5
Went for Halloween Trivia last night. We had a great time. Food was great, and beer was good. It was a busy time, and Dom and the staff were very personable with everyone. Questions were fun and the costume contest was a hit! We'll be back for end-of-the-month trivia and will spread the word.
We have been coming to trivia on Saturday nights for months. It has become our family game night destination of choice. They treat us like family know us by name and even helped celebrate my birthday recently. Great food, great fun- now if we could just get Monica to make the questions easier!! Lol Vegetarian options: Several items on the menu, even the poutine!!
Good and welcome environment, not my kind of food but still a good place to hang out with friends and family. I really have fun when I go. recommended if you like trivia nights
Great place, has everything. Awesome brews, board games, magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, Warhammer and more. Tasty brews and bean juice roaster on-site. Went for a MTG draft and felt welcome the second I was introduced to the regulars. 10/10 would go again.Food: 5/5
Super place! For everyone who loves games. Whether you want coffee, milkshakes, floats, soft drinks or beer and liquor drinks. This is a great place to spend a evening with friends! Food is great as well.
I cannot rave about critical hit enough. I learned how to play MTG here with their learn to play event and the staff here have become good friends. It's been about a year since and I love this place. Critical hit is my go to for anything magic related. I found a Dungeons and Dragons group here who welcomed me even though I'm new to the game. Not to mention trivia night has become a staple in my friend group. They also have a chess club! The community at this shop is so strong and so inviting, a great place to meet likeminded friends. The players here no matter what you're playing are all so kind and friendly and so willing to help you learn, everyone's here to have fun and love welcoming newbies. Also along with the best staff and the community here, they have unbeatable prices and a vast collection for mtg.
Snacks and meals were great! Family & young kid friendly atmosphere. Place is super clean. Teen boys loved it, should plan for a few hours or more. Great selection of board games to use.
