Edit: been here 3 times since my original review. Best falafel wrap I've had in Coquitlam. Spend the extra $4 and get a King sized one Original review: I shop next door at Superstore almost every week and go to the Starbucks close by almost every day, and for some reason I never bothered trying this place. Glad I did. Due to my new found love for Falafel and my need to keep finding restaurants that serve it I came here after work on Friday. Didn't know what to expect. For some reason I expected the usual shawarma/donair type shop. Go up to the till, order, and they make your food right in front of you. This place feels different. It feels more like a sitdown restaurant where they serve you, but don't. You still have to get your food from the counter. I was pleasantly surprised. It's very clean inside with quite a bit of seating for a shawarma place. Today I ordered the Falafel platter and there's one thing I need to point out. If you look at my photo for the menu, it says that platters come with rice, little did I know that rice meant Dolma, which is rice wrapped in grape leaves. I was kind of disappointed. There is no other signage that indicates that. There's even a picture of a party tray with rice in the restaurant, so I assumed that's the rice I'd be getting. As a result, this place gets three stars. The falafel was pretty good though. I liked how crispy it was.
Definitely one of the best Mediterranean restaurants in all country! Try it! Great service, fair price, great quality, and they sell esfihas or kibbehs frozen or ready to eat! Awesome place, beside the Lougheed hwy Superstore.Recommended dishesChicken Shawarma Plate, Falafel Plate, Lamb and Beef Shawarma, Samoon Bread, Chicken Donair, Hummus, Chicken Plate, Plates
Great food here, we get our worknlinched from here from time to time, but thisbis my girls personal trip to the restaurant. The service is amazing, they are always friendly and helpful and offer suggestions. I ordered the chicken plate withe tabouli salad it was amazing. I highly recommend this place.
The one of the best places when it comes to shawarma Get the lamb!!! Most times its good but its Inconsistent Ali makes the best ones But Definitely worth checking out Everytine im in the area I grab one Vegetarian options: Falafel is king Kid-friendliness: Not sure about that but this is way better than any other fast food Parking: Superstore parking lot Dietary restrictions: Vegan options and Vegetarian
Had the lamb and chicken wrap - absolutely delicious and fresh ingredients. So happy to have come across this place. Also tried the dolmas and kibbeh - highly recommend checking this place out. Service was also great will definitely be doing back.Recommended dishesChicken Lamb, Dolma Rice Stuffed Grape Leaves Lamb Shawarma
This is one of my best quick go-to places for lunch and dinner! Anytime I need something quality with a good quantity I come here, there's options for those with dietary restrictions and the services is always very kind. I would recommend doing takeout just because it is a smaller place, but they have a couple tables if you're on break at work and would rather dine in. Taste is great and there's something for everyone there, plus it's probably the best shawarma I've had locally so 100% suggest you try it!
Honestly what happened to this place? They used to have really good falafels. I got the falafel plate and the portion size was so small for $17.50, I felt completely ripped off. I used to get double the amount of food before. The falafel had no flavour either. They included the tiniest serving of tabouleh and they had it mixed it with lettuce to make it look like more than it is. I have never seen a place trying so hard to be this cheap. They are on a different level of cheapness. I will never come back to this place again.
Right beside the super store, this place is good. Got the lamb wrap, good amount of meat, well seasoned, not too much sauce, would have filled me up but i shared with my wife, got this little cake dessert was delicious, friendly owner, kinda of a weird location huge busy parking lot of the superstore. Good food.
They give you worst customer service and 0 value for a buck. I always order poutine and they give you half of a small container they put in. You go for value don't come here. It's like not even small fries of McDonald's with cheese and gravy on top. They need to stop doing this loot.
Friendly staff. I was surprised to see poutine on the menu- solid 5, maybe a 6, out of 10. The chicken donair was spiced well without being hot. Compared to other donairs in the area, they are a bit more expensive, but when you thing about how far you would have to drive, the price difference would be the cost of gasFood: 4/5
