Absolutely gorgeous cafe! Every single travel / food blog recommended I check out Crew Collective & Cafe for some of the best coffee and unique cafes in Montreal, so I knew I had to give this lovely spot a try. They absolutely deserve all the popularity, both for their gorgeous building and phenomenal coffee. The cafe is hosted in the historic Royal Bank tower and features beautiful marble floors and murals across the ceiling. It feels remarkably grand, especially for a cafe or coworking space. There are plenty of tables scattered across the main floor, but there are also small conference rooms you can set up shop in they look a bit like old bank teller offices.nnThe coffee itself was fantastic. The latte was a bit milkier than I'm used to, but it was quite creamy and smooth. The beans were just the slightest bit nutty, and it was all-around a delightful cafe.
I have been to train-station transformed into a museum, subterranean cavern into a concert hall or a prison into a restaurant. This surprising encounter with Crew Cafe during our downtown walk around will for sure add it to the aforementioned list of innovative transformations.nnHouse inside the historic, former head quarter of a major bank. Somehow, the insertion of this casual cafe into such a grand palatial setting with soaring ornate ceilings, stained glass and chandeliers did not seem out of place at all.nCommon sights in Europe, however, a definite rarity in North America.nnQuality of the French pastries and Viennoiserie offerings could be better though!
I had the pleasure of visiting Crew Collective & Cafe L today, and I can honestly say it's one of the best coffee experiences I've ever had. The baristas were friendly and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain their different roasts and even suggesting a drink based on my preferences.nnI tried their dulce de leche , and it was absolutely perfect – smooth, balanced, and rich with flavor. The latte art was a beautiful touch too! The shop itself has a cozy and historical vibe, with plenty of seating options for both individuals and groups. Plus, their selection of pastries was a great addition to the coffee.nnWhat really stands out about this place is the attention to detail and the level of care they put into everything they do. I’ll definitely be coming back for more, and I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates high-quality coffee and a great environment to relax or work.
Tasty espresso-based drinks and friendly service. The staff are very attentive with orders and friendly. This is a great spot for meetings over coffee and working with friends, co-workers or classmates - there's ample space and a beautiful, grand interior layout. The architecture is beautiful to look at, and while the space fills up quickly, it's close to the business district and a popular spot. Worth trying when you're in the area!
The Crew Café is absolutely stunning when it comes to interior architecture—it’s definitely worth visiting at least once. However, I probably wouldn’t come back due to the long wait times and the constant struggle to find a seat. It often feels like you’re waiting for someone else to leave just so you can sit down, which isn’t very comfortable. Plus, the coffee and pastries didn’t feel extraordinary enough to justify the inconvenience.
