The cafe has a nice atmosphere and is located in an old bank. I typically enjoy strong coffee, but the cappuccino I ordered was a bit too bitter/acidic. I ordered the almond croissant and it was way too sweet for me. It is worth visiting though just to see the building, it’s beautiful!
Beautiful decor and ambience—stunning, opulent architecture.nnCouches were dirty from overuse and crumbs. But that didn’t detract from the experience. Some of the best hot chocolate I’ve had, great cappuccino, and buttery croissants.nnVisited during a snowstorm, so it wasn’t too crowded.nnStaff is friendly, menu is vast, and photo opportunities are everywhere.nnA great spot for both locals and tourists.
The ambiance of the place is really nice. The cafe itself is okay. I would say coming here is just for the vibe of the place. There wasn’t anything in the menu that stood out for me that was like Yes I need to come again. The hot chocolate was a bit too milky for my taste and the chocolate chip was crunchy.nnOverall, if you’re new to Montreal I’d say this is a good introductory but not something to come back to.

Likely a lot of the people came to look at the cafe, being named prettiest cafe in Montreal in the Time Out magazine. It was a very grand building, with high ceilings, and intricate designs. Standing room only on a Sunday afternoon. Had a hot chocolate and took in the scenery.
