It was clean. There's 2 levels the main floor had more to do with local geology. The second showed some local points and historical artifacts. The Anna Swan exhibit was kept in a separate room. It was well put together.
The museum itself was very interesting! I enjoyed the displays. The only thing is my mom and I felt a bit uncomfortable as a staff member followed us around closely on the second floor. We didn’t know what the purpose of that was. I understand wanting to have a staff member on the same floor, but they were like 3 or 4 feet behind my mom at all times.
The Creamery is much larger and more comprehensive than I thought it would be. It includes museums, exhibits, collections and archives for the Northumberland Shore region. There is an exhibit describing the production Tatamagouche butter the Brule Fossil, and the Anna Swan Display, which tells the story of the local giantess. There is also an Acadian/Mi’kmaq exhibit, a gift shop, picnic area and beautiful views of the Waugh River.
This is the perfect place to shop for fresh produce and baked goods. There's crafts as well, very unique.
Cute little area filled with shops and micro museums. Great for tourists or even locals looking for something to do!
