I love ccmh. If you want a medical team that gives a damn or two, come here. Nurses, receptionists, janitorial staff, techs, doctors. This is not one of those facilities with callous and indifferent medical professionals. They pick people who really care about their patients as a whole. You are not a script to be written, an insurance claim to rack up or a test dummy for miscellaneous labs and they are not white coats. I never would have thought I would find such an awesome medical center in the middle of backwater Iowa. Not even Mayo clinic competes, you're just a number there.
I have been to this establishment for many years. Staff is really kind, and knowledgeable. It's a really great thing to have this hospital in Crawford County.
Dr. Libby Ranniger pediatrician is phenomenal and has been caring for my son since she started at CCMH in 2016. Both she and her nurse, Nicole, are always delightful and answer all of my questions, and on the few occasions that I’ve gotten home and had a follow-up they were always quick to return my call. You won’t find anyone more passionate about providing exceptional care for your littles!
My husband and I team drive semi and last night I was doubled over in pain. We called ahead to let them know we were on our way and they were absolutely amazing. Registration was quick, so thankful for that. They got me in a room and immediately started tests to figure out what my issue was. My nurse was so caring as well as the radiology tech that did my CT. Dr Luft made sure my pain was well under control. It’s always nerve racking being in an out of town hospital, but they made me feel like I’d been a patient there my whole life. Once all my tests were done, the Dr came in and explained my issue and made things so easy to understand. He called my home area hospital and made sure my dr knew what was going on and knew what to expect when I call on mon or if I need to be seen sooner. They truly were my angels last night and I’m so grateful for all of their care and concern. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Dr Luft and amazing staff at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital.
Great Dr. my kids are well taken care of when we have an appointment, she listens and understands you. Her nurse Nicole is awesome too greats us with a big smile. :-
Doesn’t matter how sick you are or if you have a chronic illness. If you see Dr. Mor she’ll only give you a day off of work to recover, as if that’s enough days. She won’t listen to her patient and look at the history or take your chronic illness seriously. Will have to make another visit to my regular doctor and pay another co pay just so I can get a couple more days off. Ridiculous how she thinks she knows my body and how sick I am.
Love the clinic and ER. The only issue is that if you get the wrong doctor in the ER, it can be horrible. I went in once for an injury to my shoulder and was told to “get a different job.” The job wasn’t the problem. Thankfully when I went to my follow up in the clinic, my doctor diagnosed the problem correctly and confirmed that it was not just my job.
Brought my little 4 month old daughter in for the first time and I couldn't be more appreciative of how we were treated from the moment we walked in. We had Doctor Ranniger and her nurse, Nicole- they were both amazing and awesome with little ones!
The hospital staff and physicians went above and beyond for our family in our time of need. Words cannot express how thankful we are for the amazing care and support they provided to our mother.
I will never come here again, I took my son in for an asthma attack in the middle of the night. Received appropriate treatment but when the bill came it had additional charges for testing we had not received in the ER. The billing department has not been helpful and was down right rude. I have been hung up on multiple times by billing staff just for asking about the bill. No one has ever called me back after multiple calls for a supervisor or auditor to review my sons chart. It has been 5 months since his visit and this has been a nightmare. I am so disappointed in the customer service we have experienced and extremely concerned about the false charges. Shame on you Crawford County ER for your dishonest practice and lack of respect for your patients!
