Fair prices, great quality crab and oysters. Lee is one of the managers who knows how to run a fresh seafood shop. Helping, knowledgeable and kind make for an easy visit to get all your seafood needs in Campbell River.
Amazing what the team at Crabby Bob's can do. Abby was one of the first people we spoke to when we moved here and she made us feel very welcome. The Seafood is fantastic and if you haven't tried a platter yet you don't know what you are missing !
Abby, Lee and the team at Crabby Bob's are amazing. You can get fresh seafood to take home and cook or you can let them do the work and take it to go all cooked and ready to eat. If you're in the Campbell River area, stop by the docks near the pier and check them out. You won't be disappointed!
Delicious, stunning, well worth it! The charcuterie boards are always a bit different. I will definitely keep ordering them when we have out of town guests. The staff are so proud when they present it to you.
No atmosphere. Sit on a dock and my chair leg went into the crack. Waitresses were kinda rude. Prices are very high for what you get. Crab was sweet and fresh, but small for the price. Fish chowder was watery and not much fish compared with other places on the island. We had a combo of " swimming" scallops and muscles- tasty but portion size was small. Service was slow. An experience, but not one I would repeat
Crabby Bob's is a must if you are in Campbell River. We ordered the small seafood charcuterie pictured, for two of us. It was more than enough food. So delicious and fresh. The staff were all very friendly and nice to talk to. We are from Alberta and drove to CR especially to visit Crabby Bob's on our trip to the island. Well worth the drive.
Had the whole crab with garlic butter and coleslaw which was cooked perfectly. It was delicious & flavourful. Staff is extremely friendly, will definitely be back.
I walked in with my family and our friends to spend money and have a feast. I put the tip of my finger in one of the empty tanks before reading the sign not to put hands in but it was just the tip of my finger just to test the water temperature. I got told twice not to touch the tanks. I heard the 1st time. It's not like I stuck my hand in it. We still bought food but not happy with the attitude to be honest. I felt like I was a kid being scolded for stealing cookies. I had just washed my hands. I get it when people get frustrated when people do things constantly against rules but signs were up above and to left of where i entered amd hidden behind the ramp outside. If I'd seen them I wouldn't have dipped my finger. In any case, not a great way to react to customers.
Stopped in at Crabby Bob's last weekend for lunch. Great service, friendly staff. We had the shell fish mix and clam chowder. Yummy !!! Highly recommend. Next time we are in the Campbell River area, we will be definitely stopping by.
Wow. Stopped in here quite randomly on a weekend trip. The best all seafood dinner I have been served. Perfectly cooked crab, the freshest shellfish you can imagine. This meal was simply so delicious. If you are going here be sure not to skip out on ordering a cup of chowder, it's fantastic. The friendly service makes you feel like you are sitting on your friends patio. We enjoyed our meal in the sun and were served by two very nice women.
