Excellent experience while you are in Penticton. You can use yours or rent from them. Prices are okay and reasonable. If you’re using yours then it can be filled with air for $5. Parking is enough before the entrance and if you’re renting then you can use shuttle bus back from midpoint 1 hour in channel or end point 2:45 hrs in channel. Staff will help there to get out of water.nBus ride is very entertaining. Bathrooms available before entrance but needs continuous care.nMake sure to shower after the ride as water is stinky.nIt is great experience.
Here’s a fantastic way to spend the morning or afternoon on a hot summer day. Float - swim down the channel. Shuttle service is supplied so you get back to the start. Half way down you can stop and resupply with beverages and snacks. Make sure to bring sunscreen and hats as there is no shade on float. A plastic zip lock bag is also great for phone and keys
Booked online, easy process to check-in, the tubes for 8 people were connected and sturdy. It took us about 2.5 hours to get to the end. Something different to do with friends. Weather was great.
The name might conjure images of cunning canines and thrilling river rapids, but fear not, intrepid explorer or sun-seeking soul! This adventure is all about embracing the Okanagan Valley's sunshine and transforming yourself into a human pool noodle – blissfully adrift in a current of pure relaxation.nnImagine this: a cloudless sky, the color of a freshly squeezed lemonade, stretches overhead as you climb aboard your inflatable chariot. The sun, a giant celestial spotlight, bathes the calm waters of the Penticton Channel in a warm glow, making the crystal-clear water look like a giant swimming pool carved right out of a postcard. Gentle breezes whisper through the surrounding vineyards, carrying with them the sweet scent of ripening grapes and the promise of a truly delightful afternoon. As you float along, lulled by the gentle lapping of water against the inflatable tube and the rhythmic chirping of unseen birds, you might even start to believe you've stumbled upon a secret portal to a land where time slows down and worries melt away faster than ice cream on a hot summer day. But don't worry, this isn't some lazy river mirage – it's just a typical Tuesday at Coyote Cruises! So, grab your sunscreen, your sense of adventure and maybe a waterproof phone case for those envy-inducing vacation snaps, and prepare to spend a few glorious hours soaking up the Okanagan sunshine and the laid-back vibes aboard your trusty inflatable vessel. Just remember, unlike a real coyote, there's no need to be cunning here – the only skill required is the art of pure, unadulterated relaxation.
Floating down the channel with friends is always one of the more charming things to do when visiting Penticton in the summer. It’s surprisingly peaceful given the urban setting. I mean, it gets pretty rowdy at times, but that’s generally from larger groups of floaters on the channel. Be sure to wear sunscreen as you are going to be out there for a few hours. There is the convenience of a shuttle bus that picks you up at either the mid-point or the end of the channel. People watching is always entertaining at these points. My rented tube had a slow leak this time, so there wasn’t a lot of air in the thing by the time I reached the end, but no worries. Floating the channel is always a good time. Pro tip - use you sandals to paddle if you need to navigate the channel to reunite with friends, or to make new ones.
