Great park. Long trails for walking and biking. Stairs, bridges. It feels like outside the city if not for the traffic noise.
A flight of stairs downwards lead to heaven. Enter from Coxwell avenue and this looks like any regular park but lo and behold its soon transforms to a beautiful, mystical and small forest. Below the 100 odd steps is a cycling and walking trail leading upto downtown and woodbine on either side. Visit it free ! Miss it at your own cost.
Beutifull wooded trail hard to believe it's in the city
Beautiful walking trail specially in fall!!
Great walking this trail even in the winter!!
Super sketchy men pop walk into the grass here ALL the time. It creeps me out and I wonder what is going on there. TONS of middle aged and older men nonchalantly walk in and out and I wonder what is going on so I never feel safe to walk into the bushes. I hope more police will patrol this area, especially in the summer time. It’s also very difficult to see so that if you don’t know where it is, it can be a little difficult to find.
Toronto has a beautiful ravine network. You can go for a walk or a run, you can bike, you can go for a hike on some of the backwoods trails. The view is gorgeous. It's hard to think of this park as separate from the whole ravine network. The entrance is conveniently located just off Coxwell and O'Connor, so is accessible to East Yorkers. It gives you access to Taylor Creek, Massey Creek and the Don Valley. Depending on how far you want to walk, it goes as far as Warden Subway Station in the east. North, you can get to E.T. Seton, Sunnybrook Park and the Botanical Gardens. If you walk west, you can access the Evergreen Brickworks and Todmorden Mills, before it turns south to Riverdale and eventually Corktown Commons. It all depends on how far you want to go.
I went for the off-leash dog park, which was a disappointment it's just a pen full of gravel, not much bigger than my backyard. Walking along the trail was lovely, though. It's a beautiful park.
There is currently some construction near the Don Valley that is disruptive, but away from that, this is a good place to walk or ride a bicycle in a natural setting.
Quiet place for walking
