Let’s start with the good. The truffle sauce is fantastic and the garlic is also pretty good. The pizzas were nothing to write home about. I would not order from here again. The pizzas were average in taste and burnt.Food: 1/5
Second time ordering 1 pickup and 1 delivery and second time slightly disappointed, especially for the high price and high review scores. Decent pie and they do use quality ingredients for the crust, sauce, and toppings, but the skimpy cheese quantity and poor quality really brings the overall pie down. Over-priced until the cheese improves. The service is friendly and the store is really cool, with lots of interesting snack food items like chips and desserts. Overall: 7.9 / 10 Crust: 7.5 / 10 Sauce: 8 / 10 Cheese: 6.5 / 10 Toppings: 8 / 10 Crust is thin but substantial and crisp. It's not Napoli thin, but rather more crispy and cracker-like. Not huge flavour but it's definitely better than average in that department, probably due to the creation process. Tasty sauce, lots of flavour, spices, and creamy consistency. The garlic dip is really good as well. The cheese isn't great and you don't get very much. Getting a proper mozzarella and adding just a bit more instantly improves this pizza significantly and would then justify the premium price charged. The toppings are good quality and pack lots of flavour, but they go pretty light with the quantity. The cup char pepperoni is premium quality.
We did a takeout for the margherita pizza and it was delicious. The pizza was such a great portion size for the large. The pizza was so hot and fresh and presented beautifully. We also got the garlic and truffle dips and they were delicious. The huge shoutout goes to the dough, it was perfection!
Amazing. 12/10. Best pizza I have had in years, possibly ever lol. Crispy yet light and fluffy crust , tasty sauce and quality toppings Food: 5/5
Our first time ordering from here! It was FABULOUS! Our new favorite pizza place! Highly recommend the Cowabunga pizza!! And the Bites !! BBQ ! So finger licking delicious. Only disappointed because they don't deliver. It's pick up only. I ordered but I thought they were going to deliver. Worth the drive to pick up!!Food: 5/5
Tried Cowabunga’s pizza this weekend for the first time, very impressed, so much like the authentic New York style pizza. The crust was nice and thin with no flip and the crust chewy and crispy at the same time. The slices were cut big which is nice, the sauce was great and the toppings were creative and fresh. Tried the pepperoni plus and the cowabunga pizza, as well as the garlic dip and jalapeño ranch. Great tasting dips, nice serving size as well. Have to say, this is one of the better pizza places in Hamilton. Also to add they have a nice variety of imported candy and chocolate available for purchase. Overall the pizza was a little on the pricy side but that is the cost of quality food. Worth checking out for sure.
Decent pizza. Not the "best in town" Pepperoni is good quality. You do not get much cheese. If you like cheese on your pizza, I would recommend you ask for extra cheese. Glad I tried it but not worth the $$ It is a cute shop!Food: 3/5
Best Margherita pizza ever. Light crispy crust in every bite, sweet marinara sauce, pesto with a bit of kick.
My friends and I had a fabulous time at Cowabunga. Our server Sarah really went the extra mile for us and was very polite and engaging. Top notch service all around!! The pizza is also to die for. Highly recommend.Food: 5/5
Got take out. It's more like authentic pizza than many a pizza place. Called in and asked for curbside and they were accommodating. Ran a bit late on time they'd be ready, but who cares? It was tasty. Ordered two larges of the Canadian. There's 8 slices per pizza bigger slices. Some people only ate two slices. Thinner under crust, but with some good actual crust at the end.
