With humble roots, the Cow Cafe has been operating for over twenty five years in the picturesque town of Lake Cowichan.

Story

Over the last decade, Chef David Sharrow has been catering to the Cowichan Valley area. As owner of the popular Cow Café & Cookhouse, he has been at the forefront of the culinary scene in the Cowichan Valley. David has earned an Award & Article in the June 2010 issue of YFM Magazine for his inspiration of using local foods & wines within their menus.

Food was OK. Service was good. A little pricey
Covid friendly seating in a nice dining environment with a great menu and food.
This place was amazing! We were cycling around Vancouver island and this place came on our radar as spent the day in Lake Cowichan. The prime rib poutine was to die for!

Good food. The steak was amazing. The Butter Chicken Rice Bowl was one to skip, if you are an Indian food fan. Try something else.
The beer was cold. I had a plain old cheese burger with bacon and fries with a Greek Caesar salad on the side. It was nothing to write home about. The staff was nice and accommodating. It wasn’t busy when I came through at 5:00 and my food came fairly quick and hot. I left full and content.
