Cove Bar and Restaurant

We had high hopes for this place. It was truly underwhelming. When you request for indoor seating, you get shoved to the back of the restaurant and forgotten about. The indoor seating area was so run down and the vibe was very different. They don’t even use cloth napkins, just paper ones. Reservations were at 130pm; we left after 4pm. 2.5 hours for lunch? The service was poor and slow; we were not well attended to. It took forever just get in our drink orders, let alone get the drink itself. The portions of appetizers were so small and fell on the mediocre side, for such a high price point. Their mains had an option to sub a side for ceasar salad, they don’t tell you it’s kale instead of romaine lettuce accompanied with 2.5 pieces of croutons. The seafood linguine had an overkill of salt; couldn’t cut it down even when you request for lemon. The fish dishes were alright, nothing too impressive. Overall, wouldn’t recommend.

The location is just perfect. Very nice patio for summer time. The cocktails are delicious. The food used to be better. I still enjoy the Gnocchi! Fried mushrooms for appetizer is good. Fresh oysters.

We were looking for a place by the lake and found this perfect spot for dinner. Our server was good and checked in multiple times if we needed anything. The food was fine. I particularly like the ma thai cocktail. However its a little pricey.

The restaurant has a beautiful location. The waitress was absolutely amazing, kind, patient and checked on us many times. The food was good and we had a Friday special - fish and chips with a glass of wine which was a steal! Definitely planning to go back soon.

The food is nothing to write home about or rather maybe I’ve never ordered the right thing. I saw some people beside me going hard on the crab legs. Pretty basic. However it is a great spot to have a drink and a small eat. Service is good too.

Although the design and feel of the restaurant is very modern and pleasing to the eye, my party didn't have the greatest time on our particular visit. We found the service to be quite slow given how busy the restaurant was ?maybe the kitchen was short staffed that night; but our server didn't even check in on us much or ask if we wanted refills etc, the food was very hit or miss the blackened catfish and deep fried mushroom app was very tasty, but our other dishes weren't very warm by the time it came out and were so-so Like I said, maybe our visit was just a one off since there does seem to be many people who have enjoyed themselves here, but I wouldn't really go out of my way for a revisit

Great location and atmosphere, unfortunately I was not as amazed with the cuisine. Steer clear of the Fish and chips and calamari, excessively oily and lacked taste... Will be open to try other items just to give it an honest chance.

Great location, wonderful view. Nice back patio although they really need to get rid of those umbrellas, one from across our table fell straight onto my face, my glasses flew off and left me with a scratch on my face it could’ve been so much worse. Cocktails were made beautifully. The vegan food options could have been better. The falafels are extremely dry. Could use some homemade tahini and cilantro. The veggie bowl is just okay, definitely could be more creative and flavourful. I think I would probably come here just to enjoy some cocktails next time and eat dinner at home. Service was wonderful and we had a great time.

Giving this place a 3 star rating because of the amazing customer service. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The food was alright, nothing too spectacular. We ordered a seafood platter, the seafood pasta and calamari. The mussels that came with the pasta were not fresh or good, at all. The whole table, I went with 3 girlfriends agreed that something was seriously off with them. I'm pretty sure the stomach pain I had not long after eating was from them but there's no way to prove that. The carrot cheese cake however was amazing. Probably one of the best cheese cakes I've had in a long time. Also ordered a coffee with almond milk and it was pretty good too. The fries were nice too. The atmosphere is beautiful. We sat in the back in the lounge and it was perfect for groups! Comfy seats. Hopefully if you consider checking this place out the food experience will be better.

We stopped by to dine at their patio. We ordered calamari to share which was delicious and came with 2 sauces. The salmon burger was well seasoned, juicy and the peaches were a nice touch. The poke bowl was fresh and the catfish sliders were tasty. Our server Gonzalo was super attentive and had great reccos. Enjoyed our visit!
