Was recommended this company through family, who hired them several years ago to redo their roof. They were very impressed with their service. Called West Island Roofing this afternoon to see if they could send someone to put a cover over the plumbing vent on our roof. The company representative I spoke to over the phone was friendly and very helpful. As we were able to send him pictures of the top of our roof, he was able to tell us that the vent was fine without having to send anyone to check it out. The call was fast and we were not charged for his expertise. My husband and I really appreciate his help! Thanks, West Island Roofing! We’ll give you a call in a few years when our roof needs replacing!
BEWARE Nothing was done and they invoiced us over $700.00. Basically, we called to have leaks fixed on our roof and to clear the ice from blocking the drains. We agreed to their fee structure which was a minimum of 3 hours of work with 2 guys, plus additional materials and expenses. They climbed on our roof, took some pictures and left after approximately 30 minutes saying that the "roof cannot be repaired at the moment" because there was too much ice. No work was done and they estimated that the repair would take several full days of work after the ice melts estimated at over $4000.00. No work was done whatsoever on our roof, they only stayed for 30 minutes and they charged us a full amount.
Would highly not recommend. We contacted them to fix several leaks on our warehouse roof. We were told that they charge a minimum of 3 hours, which we were okay with, but they decided to stay for only half an hour and left without doing any work. They just took pictures and told us that they were unable to fix anything because of the amount of ice on the roof. A couple days go by and they send us an invoice for over 600$. Our roof still has leaks, and they refused to AT LEAST give us the 2.5 hours owed to us from the first visit to fix some of the leaks or to discount the invoice. They also threatened to sue us if we did not pay the full invoiced amount. Also, there are even multiple published articles and reports on CTV Global News about how this company in particular received many recent complaints. Please do your research before and watch out for people like these!
We called these guys to clean our roof and to fix leaks from happening. They did none of that, stayed for 30 minutes, told us the job would cost over 4000$ and charged us a full 3 hours of work $700.00. Watch out! UPDATE - As a response to the response from the owner - their terms and conditions said they will charge us a minimum of 3 hours of work and will leave early if the work is done before the 3 hour mark. They left after 30 minutes and said there was too much work to be done, and have to re-book a full day. Also, I did not use 3 accounts. Our company is a group of 3 owners and we all have an equal say about this company.
I had my roof done last year with West Island roofing and was very happy with the service received. I also just got a ton of snow removed from my roof and have to say the guys did a great job !
They dispatched a team to our home very quickly. The employees did a thorough examination of our roof and explained in detail the problem and solutions. Very quick, polite and helpful.
Highly recommend Couvertures West-Island! They were extremely professional, very fast, efficient and well priced. Everything was done in a few hours and were respectful of noise and clean up. Had a great experience with them!
Let me just say that the roof they put in was okay but....failed to mention that my roof had no insulation before they closed it up! I have a new roof but the problem is still there and now I have to either sell my house or open up the ceiling from within No attic . Secondly, their customer support is non existent. I regret hiring them for the job.
Highly recommend West-Island Roofing! An extremely professional team. Efficient, well priced. Everything from start to finish was a great experience with them!
