We had a lovely weekend escape here. The hotel is essentially brand new opened 5 months ago. From the underground parking lot, to the common areas, and rooms… the spaces are clean, modern, and well designed. Staff were extremely friendly… we were even offered an upgraded corner room at no additional cost.nnWe didn’t end up trying their restaurant Cielo Rosso but have heard great things about the quality of their food…. something for us to explore on a subsequent visit.nnSome services were limited. They do not have room service at least not for food ordering. Though they have a fitness area, there is no pool, and their terrace may not be open depending on the weather / time of year. These are in no way deal breakers, but might be important details for some travellers.nnKind warning. The area is vibrant and can be busy and loud during the weekend evenings and on show nights. If you are looking for a quiet escape, this may not be the best option for you. That aside… I highly recommend this Courtyard and would personally stay again!
Clearly one of the best locations you can think of if you're planning on visiting Laval or Montreal since it's right in front of the Montmorency station. And a lot of good restaurants and stores close by. Reasonable value.nBut the rooms and room service leave to be desired: you could hear the plumbing working in other rooms that might be a problem specific to rooms at the end of corridors though, room service came before checkout to see if we were done and we were not decent..., there were still some hairs on the shower walls when we arrived, and room service kept changing all our towels even if we hung them like it was indicated to do if we wanted to reuse them. Ventilation was a bit on the noisy side too, but they were working on it in other rooms when we checked out.nThe gym is nice, a beautiful view on the roof's terrace and the staff was very friendly.nWe would go back still because the location is too good.
Overall Hotel is a modern decor with comfy beds and cleannHowever being a large chain of hotels they have no water in the roomn water bottle cost $1 each in nAfter paying over $300 per night no water offered as complimentary.nAnd when asked from the front desk we had to pay $2nI felt ashamed to be even askingnBeing a traveler around many countries even a smallest hotels such as best Western offers waternI feel that is such a cheap gesture by the managementnFor an emergency ppl need water and offering it will be appreciated
Overall this is a nice hotel. The rooms, amenities, and restaurant were great. The main issue to be aware of here is the incessant noise coming from loud music on the terrace or from bands/DJs setup across the street. Unfortunately the music went until at least 11pm on all 3 nights I was there, which was not good considering I had to be up at 4am to catch a flight. Just be aware of your room placement in relation to the music.
We have stayed for 27 nights at this hotel. All the staff, including reception and restaurant made us feel welcome and made our long stay very comfortable! They reception staff particularly went out of their way to make us feel at home in every way possible.nThe hotel is new, the rooms are spacious and clean, the food is delicious and diverse, and the staff is very helpful, friendly, and go out their way to help make your experience worth it.nnHighly recommended hotel!nnAdditional pluses:nThe hotel has:n-a great gymn-beautiful roof top terrace open from Thu to Sun afternoon and large restaurant terrace for lunch and dinnern- Metro station is just below the hoteln- Starbucks and other restaurants are just below and around the hotelnnThings that could be improved by the hotel:n-add some minimal toiletries ie. cotton facial pads, ear buds etcn-consider a coin laundry / dryer machinen- consider free parking especially for such a long stay
