I find the negative reviews for this hotel very puzzling. I've read some that say the hotel itself was excellent but didn't care for the location so instead of knocking off one star, they unfairly rate it only one star. Others who have one minor inconvenience and rather than rate the hotel on the experience as a whole, they distill it down to this one minor detail and their entitlement to perfection only allows them to leave one star. My experience was quite the opposite! I thought the hotel was excellent! I travel very often for work and this was the first time in a long time that I felt hospitality was the main focus of the hotel. The staff was excellent, the woman who checked me in was fantastic and every one I talked to was very kind and very professional. The room was spotless and had a nice view of the courtyard next to the hotel. Parking was easy as there is an attached parking garage that is even heated! Overall this experience was excellent, I will absolutely be coming back!
Stayed here for work. I had a corner King room. Quite nice. Good views. The materials were high quality and it has been renovated recently compared to similar budget hotels in Canada. Could not hear any noise from the bars or restaurants at ground level at all. The city construction outside did wake me up, but not much the hotel can do about that. Excellent location for taking the metro. Good restaurants nearby and an event center.nnService was excellent. Shout-out to Maylane Pham and Sheena Bennett who provided great help to me. I will be staying here again and recommending it to my coworkers. Very satisfied.
Modern, clean, and comfortable hotel, perfect for a short stay. My only complaint is the bed setup. The sheets weren’t properly fitted, and the duvet and mattress protector were always exposed, the same issue each time the bed was made. I understand and also dislike that many hotels here use two flat sheets instead of a proper duvet cover, but in this case, it wasn’t even done properly. Having to feel the duvet and mattress protector beneath the sheets is icky and just not comfortable. Also, I assume the removal of kettles from rooms is a cost-saving measure for all hotels. It’s nice to have a cup of tea in your room instead of having to go to reception for one.
We recently stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott in Laval, and overall, our experience was great. The hotel is very well-located, with the subway station right across the street, which made it incredibly easy to get into Montreal. We were able to go to the downtown historic district with just one subway ride, which was a huge convenience. The gym was also excellent and a big plus for our stay.nnHowever, after spending time in Chelsea where we experienced a consistently friendly and warm vibe from everyone, the hotel staff unfortunately didn't quite match that.nnA minor but frustrating detail was the in-room coffee. The quality was not good, and the quantity—just one regular and one decaf—was not enough for the two of us. It's a shame to have to go down to the Starbucks in the lobby and pay for coffee when a better option in the room would be so easy.nnDespite those issues, we rated our stay a 4 out of 5. The great location, convenience, and excellent amenities made it a very good choice for our trip.
I recently returned from a weekend getaway to Montreal with my family, and this hotel proved to be an excellent choice in every way. The staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The location is surrounded by great amenities, and reaching Montreal’s main sightseeing spots was easy, even with the city’s heavy traffic.
