I came for a family bereavement and the hotel did not disappoint.nnVery clean, staff was nice and although I took advantage of the Starbucks next door, there were food options at the hotel and outside the building.nnI definitely would return because of its location.
Overall Hotel is a modern decor with comfy beds and cleannHowever being a large chain of hotels they have no water in the roomn water bottle cost $1 each in nAfter paying over $300 per night no water offered as complimentary.nAnd when asked from the front desk we had to pay $2nI felt ashamed to be even askingnBeing a traveler around many countries even a smallest hotels such as best Western offers waternI feel that is such a cheap gesture by the managementnFor an emergency ppl need water and offering it will be appreciated
We liked the Laval area a lot. The Montmorency metro station Orange Line can be accessed via the parking area without needing to go outside in bad weather they had a 14-inch snowfall and high winds while we were there - no problem. You can be downtown in minutes. Tons of places to choose from to eat at in ESpace and courtyard. It was super convenient for attending hockey games at Place Bell PWHL Victoire and AHL Rockets - you just walk across the street. The rooms are nice, clean and modern. Service from the front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. From the top floor you can see the Olympic tower on clear days.
After finishing work, I was walking through the courtyard with a friend, heading to my car on the other side of the building. While we were simply conversing, a group of approximately 7-8 intoxicated men from the restaurant upstairs on the second floor of your hotel to began yelling and shouting vulgar remarks at us from the balcony. As two women in this situation, we felt deeply uncomfortable and unsafe.nnWe immediately reported the incident to the manager on duty, expecting support and action to address the harassment. However, instead of handling the matter professionally or investigating our complaint, the manager dismissed our concerns. His response implied that both parties were at fault and even suggested that such behavior was to be expected from intoxicated patrons. This dismissal was highly unprofessional and invalidating, especially given the seriousness of the situation.nnAdditionally, the insinuation that we might have initiated or provoked this incident is both unfounded and insulting. We were simply trying to get to our cars, not engaging with or even aware of the people on the balcony prior to the harassment. While two women present at the scene sympathized with us and acknowledged the gravity of the situation, the manager and overall handling of the matter left us feeling disregarded and unsupported.nnI would like to emphasize that this is not just about customer service; this is about ensuring safety and respect. Imagine if this situation had involved your sister, mother, or daughter being harassed by a group of intoxicated men. Dismissing such incidents not only jeopardizes the safety of individuals but also reflects poorly on the establishment's standards of professionalism..nnDo better Marriott please
Really nice hotel with great restaurants around but the noise from the hotel's own restaurant is unbelievable. We've actually had to turn the TV volume up to try and ignore the music. Definitely would not stay here again just for the noise.
